I think some actors really need constant acting lessons and classes, like am watching this drama and one thing…
The female lead CHARACTER zoned out because of flashback right? What kind of facial expressions should that be? She “zoned out” because he was rebuking her and she went gray rock to protect her already damaged psyche? What kind of face do you make when someone is berating you and you have no defense? The female lead ACTOR nailed her part.
I thought the whole “surround them and close in” fighting scene was so well done! Music was great too. And the lighting was good too, wasn’t too dark to see what was happening. Very good choreography. And without too much Wuxia which I’m not not a big fan of. I usually fast forward through fight scenes but actually watched this twice!
Dramas are very subjective. There is no right or wrong. Either you like it or you don't, and that is perfectly…
Horror? Not my genre at all 🤷🏼♀️ Legal drama? Nope, not for me. Xianxia? Goodness, no! Revenge drama? Bring it on.
Everyone is different. That’s why it’s wonderful that we have so many choices.
If I find I’m curious about why a certain drama is highly popular I’ll try to watch even if it’s not my genre and have ended up loving some I might not have watched otherwise. Even critically acclaimed dramas I sometimes wonder whyyyyyy do people like this? Anyway, if I feel fomo, I’ll watch the first and last episodes to get over that 🤣🤣🤣 I really find that I’ll watch a genre I don’t like just because I want to see more of an actor’s filmography. I’m not good with listing titles or actor’s names or else this comment would’ve been much longer.hehe
So Yeli has DID. Maybe she doesn't have schizophrenia. Even QingShuang is her. Ohh my God.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can strongly resemble both Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and schizophrenia. (Thanks Google) This is my theory and I’m sticking with it. DID and schizophrenia are treatable but not curable, PTSD is (sort of, can’t erase memories but response to them can go away.) I feel their love will heal each other.
Episode 10 Oh, here comes the mandatory cliff fall scene. It looked so bad, though, seriously… There’s a scene…
This was one of the worst cliff falling scenes I’ve seen. That was a very very very tall looking cliff during the fall with a lot of tree canopy below. Then while they were looking where the snakes and shoe was found - no trees? I think sometimes dramas just say Oh that’s good enough and then go with it. Some cliffs were they land in water ? Obviously would have hit rock on the way down. I’ll give on one point. She’s apparently a martial artist and must have Wuji Qigong to aid her and protect her.
In ep10 what did it mean when she dipped her finger in the wine cup and flicked it when she toasted the painter after hearing his story? Was that symbolic for pouring out a drink at a grave? Honoring the dead of Li Shan Mountain?
Another theory is that Yeli might have a dissociative personality, not schizophrenic because when she fell off…
To me all her symptoms are rooted from PTSD which can be resolved not in other conditions which can’t. They’re both pretty fouled up from their traumas but not so far gone they can’t be healed.
Episode 9 I won’t lie, when the official brought the food prepared by his wife, I couldn’t help feeling suspicious…
Good comments! I was on edge with the food offering too then decided it was all about the “newlywed “ comments when he asked her later if she made the food at the banquet though. Poor Wu You craving love and attention and father figure. Now things looking up with his mother I hope his uncle takes over when he’s better.

Ooooh I love learning stuff like this!
Her love will heal him.
His love will heal her.
I haven’t read the novel but that’s my opinion.

Wonder why they toned him down or will they ratchet his delusional self up later?
