Now that rumor seems fishy to me .. like def had to do with jang hyun now being written in his history as a scapegoat so the prince survives the demented king’s anger, him being blamed to save the crown prince’s ass from a treason accusation because the king looks like he’s losing his faith in the prince’s loyalty .. just looks like that to me.. looks like they’re gonna pull the traitor or spy card against him man and possibly execute his family as he’s away in simyang or maybe a business trip , meaning if he marries Gil chae hopefully in the next ep , she and everyone around her becomes his family and do they annihilate the “traitor’s family “ (you know the collective punishment and killing of that commit treason right .. not unheard of in saeguks and then he comes back to find out and just loses his mind and goes on a killing rampage and they order all these men to go kill him and hence that scene where he’s grieving and crying on the ocean all drenched with blood and all the men behind him scared and approaching him to possibly kill him maybe
That’s my theory for the ending now i hope writernim doesn’t go that route tho .. bish you better now .. we’re already in pieces
you know it could've been way worse right? especially for this genre ... i have to say they played it safe ..…
i agree with you or he could've died somehow and operation failed all of the options you mentioned and mine are the more realistic ones for the genre ,yes the reveals and final confrontations and how it wasn't as intense as the rest of the drama was sad and lucking and such lost potential .. also the romance ruined the bromance for me .. you'd expect more bromance from genre like this but it wasn't there ,.. if it wasn't for the good start, the acting and fight scenes i would've gone lower
honestly after the worst of evil failed me a bit by the ending .. been wanting to change my rating of this one from a 9 to a 10 because the drama should've been more like this movie tbh
she should have left ki chul alone from the beginning i feel like she just wanted to reminisce her childhood with…
oh yeah no i thought that she just didn't wanna mention the past to her husband and it was in early eps so i didn't pay it that much attention ... i think she still cared for him but like as someone from her past who she cared about and felt bad for but not romance wise ...
you know it could've been way worse right? especially for this genre ... i have to say they played it safe .. the fact that the operation was a success ... you know .. the ml surviving.. and all that . is def playing a bit safe and less realistic for a noir, and a gang and an undercover cop ..
and the ending was alright nothing outta the ordinary .. they mostly played it safe, they went for the good winning over the bad .. meaning the police and operation success and you know idk it could've been way more intense than this .. but oh well not bad but it's about an 8 .5 for all the good acting and fight scenes which i really like and the first half was great as well so. i would've preferred a beautiful, intense, crazy, all out ending like my name tbh
no one tho can deny that joon mo grew to care for gi chul ... they saved each others' life in the end he chose the let him go free ... to run away ... he also was still wearing that watch , he felt said about reporting that gi chul had been caught and he evevn shot him so he doesn't kill himself but he still sadly he still died ( maybe he gave him a chance to runaway but he knew if he came back he needed to do something , i believe he cared about him , he was in so much distress after he shot him he couldn't speak clearly on the phone , i'd say worried, guilty feeling and also noticing his wife reaction ) and then again the scene where he leave a cigarette lit on his grave as if for him to have a smoke as well as the ring as if to tell him it's over between him and eun jung .. i have to say in gang noirs like this i love to see such bromance but i wanted more of it wasn't there throughout the whole thing it all felt like pretense but then again , this also made me give an 8.5 instead of an 8 .. cause i appreciated the minor clue in those scene particularly on watching again i'd like to believe that at times when he saved him or was with him he meant it also how he protected hae ryun and told her to run away from all harm to hong kong because he also grew to care for her as a person .. he empathized for her i think he also felt bad fir him and he knew she would want to live a normal life like she said she would maybe if that wasn't her environment
overal tho i think the romance wasn't neededd at all .. total snooze fest anyways .. honestly the fl character felt more like a support role and also she was only needed in the plot for them to find out or be suspicious about who is her husband who in turn turned out to be ouri male lead and also to heighten and intensify the betrayal gi chul would feel after finding out
oh and as for the title i vote hwang min goooo kaeee sikyaaaaaaa ... he was truly the worst f*er of all and on top of that his actor did such a good job at being an effing disgusting annoying pain in the ass at all times .. i hated his face
