I'd say watch this for the comedy and because of Lee Joon. His acting is phenomenal and the character is point on! He's definitely improved as an actor! :D
I really liked it until the last couple of episodes. It was 10/10 and then suddenly dropped to 9. I think I was too kind but yeah, since the whole drama all in all was really good I couldn't give it lower.
To everyone who is hesitating about wether or not to check out this drama, JUST DO IT! It's badassery on the highest level. Even the main girl kicks ass! Seriously, just give it a try. And if you find the first few episodes boring, wait until ep 3 or 4, that's when it gets mindblowing. Episode 9 and onwards have like some o the best cliffhangers in all of dramaland <3
I honestly don't know O_O do people suddenly hate Seo In Guk or something? This is like ne of the top 3 dramas of 2014 in my opinion ._. I hope it doesn't turn people off just because it's historical. It's brillant storytellin with awesome badass characters. Even the main girl kicks ass and knows how to use a sword and saves the main guy at least twice. Is that badass or is it badass? *o* I really hope people check it out
Can someone tell me if this show worth to watch it? It's seems a lot of episodes. All the other historical drama…
You should definitely give this one a try. It's unlike any other historical drama, to just mention a few things: it's fast-paced, and the childhood "backstory" child actor scenes which usually take 1-10 episodes in a typical historical drama, are only 10 minutes in this, yeah not 1 hour, 10 minutes. That's saying something xD so yeah, if you're worried that this will be your usual historical drama, i can guarantee it won't.
The story was really good but i feel like i need to comment on the ridiculously bad scenography and flming ._. acting aside, i feel like this drama deserved a bigger budget. I dunno if it was just the quality of the videos i watched, but it felt like a very low budget drama.
This is purely my opinion so I hope no one will be angry or upset, but this drama was the disappointment of the year ._. i watched the first 4 episodes and simply couldn't get into the plot ._. it was super weird. I thought it would be like Secret Love Affair, nope <_<
Watching the 1st ep is so weird.. everyone seemed a suspect even the story teller XD ..I rolled my eyes at the…
Keep watching! The story will take a different twist and get much much more suspenseful! :3 you could say it all starts of with a "prank" of some sort and turns serious as th story progresses
I had a little question... Hong Rim fell in love with the queen or he always loved the king? '-'
I'd say it's difficult to say, but i have my theories. 1. he was in love with the king but since he got to be with the queen she was seen as a symbole of lust more than love. I don't think he was deeply in love with her, it was more like he never experienced that sort of feeling towards anyone else but the king and maybe realized that he was heterosexual all along. or 2. Since he was with the king since a very young age, it could very much be that he believed he was homosexual since he's never been with anyone else besides the king, but when he slept with the queen he realized that that was what he wanted. I don't think he was in love with the queen but more that he realized that his deep love for the king might not have been what he truly wanted. I dunno if that replies to your question xD I'd say he loved the king and that the queen was just a symbole for "lust".
