ahhhhh that preview from ep 22 to 25!!!! I knew XYN faked his death!!!! I knew it! I knew it!!! and omg fake GJ…
Not necessarily - it may have been the edit that made it look like they work together but they may have been talking to other people. Would be a nice way to "fool" the audience. We will see :)
- The scripwriter/director are brilliant - the way they are slowing showing the characters' individual growth…
This was brilliant - the actor who plays ML is absolutely brilliant. The nuances in his voice, body language, expression. He is very very good. His whole demeneaor changed in a sublte way once he's stopped faking it. The way he softly speaks to her, hold her so that she can look into his eyes (vs he would avoid eye contact before), the way he apologized and gazed at the pagoda. I love the way his character is heading.
Another “clue” about the ML. He is really well off. For him to be able to resign on a whim, be willing to pay double the deposit + charges + double the guy’s salary and be able to halt other activities to help her. He is definitely not a civil servant and is definitely working privately (either as a lawyer or some sort of private investigator). I really hope they don’t pull the trope of civil servant with rich parents scenario.
- The scripwriter/director are brilliant - the way they are slowing showing the characters' individual growth and how their romance is growing is amazing, refreshing and SO realistic. This is exactly how I would expect someone bereaved to behave - she is now slowly waking up and standing up for herself. And I love how the ML's character and whole body language/personality is changing now that he doesn't have to act (and dropped the glasses) - you can tell that his true self is cheeky, direct and romantic (loved when he stopped to admire the pagoda - that's most likely where he will take her for dinner later). - Also love that none of them suddenly reveals their feelings - the way he apologised and advised that they take thing pragmatically...he knows she may hate him when she discovers the truth.
it is bad, but is it a real one? or is it one just to provoke her? 🤔
Exactly. At this stage we shouldn't judge their relationships based on his behaviour as he's been only using her until now and his sole goal was to gain her trust to get her to admit what she knows. He got caught in his own scheme as he's now realised he actually loves her. That's also why he gave his resignation - know that he knows she is innocent he doesn't want to use her but want to genuinely help her. Which he will start doing now.
"If you just want to have a full tummy, you don't have to take up such a menial job. I can show you the way. I…
It was explained - they wanted to push her to her limits to see if she really is hiding something and would admit to it. He was absolutely awful to her but he wanted that last reassurance (that she is not lying and is a good person) before giving up on the case.
Gao Jun spending all his time manipulating the FL, stalking her, checking on her, bullying his way next to her,…
Agree, and I absolutely don't condone what he did, but without his help behing the scene, she'd have been trumpled by her in laws, she would have had to live with them, and she woudn't have reached this breakthrough. She would have also most likely been assaulted too. She wanted to give up several times but him being harsh to her pushes her in the right direction. And him stalking her did keep her safe many times. His means are not right, but he did help her a lot.
At 1:54, the real GJ seems to be helping her so he is probably not on the bad side and most likely knows the fake…
Correct, he may not help her but he'd still need to be a legit law related type of individual to stand in front of the box in court. He can't be a witness if he is not sitting in the box so my conclusion is that he would either need to be there as her lawyer or as the prosecutor. Otherwise I really can't explain this. And also I can't explain why he'd be showing her how to shoot a gun - I don't think anyone in China expect from government people can learn how to shoot but I may be wrong. I've now seen 2 screenshots showing him practicing shooting.
Yes but it does not especially abide by the Law. Example is how he explained to the kid's father how he was concerned…
But how would he be able/allowed to stand in front of the witness box in court then. That's what I don't understand. As far as I know only a legit lawyer/prosecutor would be able to. He can fool her but no way he could fool a whole court/judge. It is at 1:14: https://weibo.com/tv/show/1034:4830932742635548?from=old_pc_videoshow
The wait is unbearable so I'm having fun searching for clues on ML's identity. Spoiler below for those who want…
At 1:14 the court scene where ML stands in front of FL in court during the hearings is what made me think of him as some sort of law enforcement agent. Otherwise I'd assume that he couldn't stand like this...I can't think of anyone apart from a lawyer/prosecutor who could stand like this. Or is it possible? https://weibo.com/tv/show/1034:4830932742635548?from=old_pc_videoshow
One thing for sure, the ML knows the law very well (at the level of a lawyer) considering how quickly he is able to remember an article of the penal code.
Mmmm just watched ep 17 and it cemented my gut feeling about him being somehow related to the government or at least some powerful institution. The way the child's dad got super scared...
How did he come up with that big amount of money to pay FL in laws to move out?He is the one who sent FL the birthday…
Of course it is whoever he works for. Who is paying for the boat and cars then...same question. Don't understand why people are so confused by this. Whoever works will get costs paid by their company. Whoever he works for is financing this "mission". And if he really is a private investigator then he is partly funding it then.
- Also love that none of them suddenly reveals their feelings - the way he apologised and advised that they take thing pragmatically...he knows she may hate him when she discovers the truth.
Love, love love this drama
