Such a fantastic and well written article. It really helps me understand the rating habits of the mdl community. I'd have to say your numbers really are in line with the ratings.
I would consider myself a crusader, but I understand that everyone experiences dramas differently and I don't get upset by it. However, it does piss me off when people give a really high rating just because their "oppa" is in it and they want to support the drama. These, few, but biased ratings do upset me.
One thing I noticed is that the more drama watching experience you have (400+ dramas for example), the more likely you are to give a lower rating than most users. Probably because you've seen a lot and you're less impressed by plot and acting or you have a higher threshold of what is good. It's just something I noticed with the "veteran" drama watchers and their ratings.
This is slightly better than most Chinese melodramas, but the female lead is really wishy washy. She keeps going back and forth and it's driving me nuts.
Great movie, but also difficult to watch due to the atrocities that happened. Wish someone had warned me beforehand so here's mine. This contains senseless violence, destruction, and rape. Some of it is really hard to stomach.
Even if he wasn't underage, I'm against student/teacher relationships in general. The teacher is in a position of power and should know better. I would consider this abuse of power. Really, like the teacher can't wait until he graduates and becomes an adult? Even if he has a crush, this behavior should not be encouraged and the student should be taught better.
Now the underage part, I'm pretty sure most people would be against it. But the fact that he's in middle school on top of that and that close to puberty is pretty much pedophilia.
Whaaatt....that's insane, especially considering how revered she is in China. But yeah, if you're one of the highest paid actresses in the world, tax evasion is kind of a big deal. Regardless of whether she comes from a communist country or not, tax evasion is bad no matter what country you're from. I personally am sick of rich people trying to use loopholes to get out of paying taxes.
I found the story to be okay compared to other gambling with high stakes plots. The script was somewhat messy, but it somewhat made sense since the main character's head was a mess due to his insanity. That being said, the CGI was AMAZING, but a little too much at times.
They changed a lot of things this year. Some are refreshing and creative, some not so much. I'm not really enjoying this season as much as I did previous seasons, but then again I guess it's too early to tell.
This kind of reminds me of Dancing With the Stars where dancers are paired up with celebrities. The performances get better and better in later episodes as the celebrities improve their dance skills. It has an A+ lineup of celebrity contestants, that's for sure.
