and how to process grief, which I think is the central theme of this drama
I just looked up Oshi no Ko, and just by judging by the cover, when your choice of actors are youth/idols as opposed to veterans in this drama, you can assume which one would focus more on the essence of the drama (writing/directing). Directing skills is especially important when one of the leads is a child.
I got the climax at 8th episodethe 9th and 10th was too much to stomacha bit different plot, Keisuke and Mai eventually…
Nah it would be weird and also painful for everyone. Keisuke and Mai would always hope to see Takae in Marika which would be unfair to Marika and Chika.
I really agree with your first paragraph. Unless they want to be blunt about their opinion about a certain happening and can justify it when faced with questions, they shouldn’t include real life events to the drama.
Even though King the Land is a pretty weak drama, the whole drinking arab prince thing 1 star rating fiasco was…
I mean insulting anyone’s religion/belief/culture isn’t acceptable but being butthurt about everything will not help your case. I didn’t watch the drama so not sure of the context though just the general idea doesn’t sound something worth going up in arms about it

I did watch that drama because it wasn’t my thing. But what’s so controversial about drinking arab prince? They show them drinking in Arabic tv series all the time it’s not even something anything anyone bats an eye on.
Once passed the first episode, it was a fun ride. I had to put logic to the side to enjoy it fully. While it wasn't as full of life as some school dramas of the time, it had colourful and enjoyable side characters. I enjoyed their main teacher's "romance" it was funny but I don't know in which world she would be considered fitting in such a school.
Our main trio grow adorable as the story goes, yes even Takako. I admire how upfront she is when it comes to what she wants. I find it funny how she's weirded out about her parent's relationship and wants nothing like it. One day she will mature and realize that's the ideal relationship many strive for.
Throughout the drama, Taro's siblings show how they see his hard work and sacrifice and are learning. Their parents are another story. They are more like dolls than parents. I think it would've made more sense to have the parents dead than this useless.
In the last 2 episodes, I realized Taro has some serious issues and is pretty much addicted to starving and sacrificing for others. It didn't stop me from liking him though and liking the relationships he forms throughout the drama.
An average drama in content and style, but the focus in an area less explored. I found the young cast pretty good and convincing (except for the sick little boy he was too happy go lucky but it could be just my perception). The 6th grade teacher was annoying always overstepping boundaries. She does grow throughout the drama but takes a while. My favourite episode was the one focused on the first graders. I wish there were more cases with students of all ages and all teachers.
I haven’t seen Tsukamoto Takashi in a long while so this was a pleasant surprise. He’s aged a bit and looks so mature. I used to watch him a lot in my early days of drama watching.
the family drama was heartwarming at least and kept me watching from the end (and the great acting, yuya yagira,…
I’m really fascinated right now at how I can 100% agree with you on your opinion on some dramas and totally disagree with you on others. Interesting how the mind of each individual works!
I couldn’t get passed the 3rd episode of Destiny and found Koi wa Deep ni so bland. However I’m completely in love with this drama and its subtle messages and character growth. I found all their actions in line with their personality. There definitely are some plot holes but it’s complete in the places it matters. A big part of it I credit to the directing.
Finally I especially was not impressed with the mystery of Ryuusei no kizuna.
He surrendered in episode 10. I think it’s because his job involves doing a lot of illegal things like faking death to help people disappear and whatnot.
Interesting premise that is hard to keep up for a whole drama, but it did get more interesting as we got to know the characters of the firm and how they handle work. I just had 2 issues with this drama:
1 - Hiwada’s character was too dull. I know that was the point and it was well performed, I just couldn’t get interested in this character.
2 - The last episode was all whack. It made no sense whatsoever from beginning to end.
In episode 8, I found Hiroto’s reaction to be selfish, as if he didn’t care what his sister had endured even…
i found everything he said was justified. She’s very impulsive. She dragged him in her troubles when she hasn’t been in their lives for years. Reaching out for help is fine but the way she did it without explanation. She instructed her son not to tell anyone his identity. And he saw Lion suffer so much. She’s doing everything out of love for her son but what Hiroto saw was a kid facing the possible death of his mother, his mother being dragged by the police and so on. In any case I like how they kept the same dynamic as when they were children.
I like the overall idea, the characters and how some of them developed. I think this drama succeeded in 2 things
—The brooding male lead Rarely perfected like this one, the longing, the restraint, hesitation and all is all convincing and given good reasons for them.
—The antagonist I like that he was given a deep backstory while keeping him psychotic.
However the writing suffers. Some characters were written in such frustrating ways like the female lead. Her character, past and present, just doesn’t have what it takes to compete the task she was born to accomplish. I also felt a lot of stories was the story was winging it
I can’t decide if it’s a bad drama or just not for me so I just let it go

Overall it was enjoyable but nothing outstanding.
