I have a question. Didn't Ji Feng actually get that contract finalized and then that new guy, his competition.…
Ji Feng's supposed nomination was verbally insinuated to make sure that he finalised the hotel contract. Then he was tossed aside to give place to the new foreign manager. I found this situation quite discriminatory (and my wording is gentle so to avoid heaty comments). Not to mention the arrogance of that new manager as to steal all the credit. This was a swift arc on Ji Feng side, so the script jumps to his next arc without delay. This scene suited Wallace Chung whose characters in all Cdramas are similar such as forebearing, gentle, compassionate, patient, zen.
In regards to your last paragraph, I still wonder if it is not a lietmotiv in Cdramaland in order to dramatize stories such as families' sagas. I wonder how within so fast growing Chinese industries still allow such behavior. I wonder how with well educated society and powerfut businesswomen this misconduct still applyes. Don't blame, I surely put this country on a too high pedestal.
I enjoy watching a mature cast. Their boat is going to be unsteady for a while but fun I guess.
This article wordings in regards to seasons 3 and 4 "reported that the production team is aiming to begin filming by the end of this year or next year." meaning airing in 2028 ?
I really wanted to like this drama but the FL being a doormat is already making my blood boil; it's her house…
and all the garbage that family leaves behind. They wouldn't survive with me. It reminds me of related cousins of mine behaving almost like this. Without warning I threw them out of my house.
I am enjoying so far, but I pray she gets a brain soon and dumps the husband and her horrible family. I kind of…
Just finished 2nd episode. "Garbage" lyes from all his 7 head orifices - eyes, ears, nostrils, mouth. I dare adding 2 more - anus and penis. Such a manipulator whom wife is an asset for his future promotion. Should he have agreed to his "Bitch's" abortion, censorship would not let this pass.
The table is well set in the 1st episode : 1. the cheater the "Garbage" - Mi Yu's husband Nie Yu Cheng. 2. the mistress the "Bitch" - Lu Zhen Zhen. No she doesn't look younger and is not more beautiful than Xu Mi Yu. She was surely the one by using the Garbage's cell, texting Mi Yu to bring her husband blue shirt. 3. conspiracy - next to be Xu Mi Yu's love of her life Ji Feng. Hard working hotel acting manager unfavored for higher position as the general manager. Will fight tooth and nail to earn what he deserves such as his status and his love. 4. the last but actually not the least - Xu Mi Yu the "idolater" of her husband and the "doormat" of her family. She is in the middle of a modern family saga. Could also be written as an historical harem fight. She went already through a sad childhood arc - brought up into another family that is financially and emotionally taking advantage of her (nothing new under Cdramaland's sun). Now a divorce arc. Hoping her last arc be a happy one with Ji Feng as her companion.
Hope all episodes that follow will be as this, direct, swift and clear.
Love this take 😄 honestly same energy here. I went in with zero expectations and ended up enjoying it way more…
I'm watching the airing Rebirth and I have no feelings neither for the music scores...nothing...nada. I didn't comment it. Even the two other fantasy Cdramas airing. I've discovered shortlength Cdramas lately. I found some pearls. Enjoy your journey with this God.
I'm at the 12th episode meaning that it is worth my time compared to other airing Cdramas. I haven't rated it yet.
I didn't expect much from this story...but. Both leads are steady on their dinghy boat without mast or sails although their director is guiding them nicely. For a shortlength Cdrama, the visual is not bad at all, the fantasy is at a fair level compared to higher standard fantasy stories. The God's allure is solemn and with clumsyness to lighten some scenes. I like his "at a loss expressions" when interacting with her that put a smile on my face. From which World does she come from, I don't care as of now. I just go with the flow, no headaches, no eyes rolling. Watching it with a kid's attitude. It's good to give not yet wellknown actors/actresses a chance. They are good at this pace, they'll grow stronger and better (hope in a safe surrounding).
Yes, it is a light story, not pretentious and suprisingly enjoyable to watch between my works in the making.
Some commenters gave me a blast. Some obviously wanted to be funny. Some comments were so serious. Really too hilarious...I almost broke a rib bone. Seriously this article is not deep into the reality of showbizz. This article is sand in the eyes. It reached its aim. Please MDL spare me a moment and stay away from politics.
This article is like a "superficial-too-late-awakening" when mentionning makeup instead of the danger of whitening the skin with medicationand pharmaceutical products already used for decades.
Which brings most profit ? makeup products ? pharmaceutical products ? or plastic surgery ? BINGO ! All of the above !
The trends of plastic surgery to name a few, are : botox upper lips, forehead, cheek lines (restrict facial expressions, the actor/actress must lose weight prior to injections otherwise they look puffy), chin implant (notice the scar under the chin, restrict the actor/actress diction, lower facial expressions), perfect dental replacement (not really adapted for historical, wuxia, etc genre), ear corrections (enlarged to make the head/face look smaller), lower aegyo-sal (for a look-like-child-face), high nose (doesn't show if well filtered when edited, restrict facial expressions), breast implants (plastic surgeons are sued if they name the risks of allergies and cancer. A friend of mine had this bad experience and she is not the exception), fat inserted in the buts (for look-like-thiner-waist).
Just looking at some actor/actresses...I suffer. Thank God not all go through these processes. They already go through so much with physical training and no private life to gift us. As long as they are safely surrounded.
This article is written to sidetract the discussion from a more painful subject : depression and death sentence. You read me correctly. The percentage of depression and suicides in yongsters and teenagers groups due to excess medication, botched surgeries, pressure to find the budget needed to look like their idols is huge. Parents, communities, families, have a role into this to support and protect their children.
But hey who am I ? From a critical angle I still like watching my Cdramas. This article will not stop me from doing so.
What ? A short length drama ? No way ! Condensed it is the length of a movie. It is worth it. So, I'll wait for the 12 episodes out and sit comfortably to watch.
