Half way and I dare say that it is a watchable shortlength Cdrama. It isn't pretentious, it is well directed, good settings and props, surprisily daring intimate scenes, intriguing side stories compared to the big production trends. Not yet rated.

I would love to know which state in China this school gatekeeper comes from. I'm sure you watched the 2023 Cdrama Blossoms Shanghai and how strong some actors, although in many of their dramas have mainland accent, but could switch to different accents. I loved it.
Three years or so ago, I listened to a chinese youtuber critisizing arrogantly actors because of their natural local accent in a Cdrama. I was outraged, and I wasn't the only one. Then I stopped following and even stopped gifting her streaming. I never heard such contempt when living in England, Germany, France, Canada with such beautiful landscape of accents.

Beginning of episode 27 I like the school gatekeeper's accent was unexpected. Some people might find this cringy. As for me it is so pleasant to listen to. It adds warmth and real life to the story. I played it several times.

As for Mi Yu's mother, sorry but I don't buy it. That woman is greedy like hell and still obsessed in pushing her daughter into any man's bed that fits her personal agenda regardless of her daughter's affections. She has a dirty mind, a pimp in disguise. To easy to fall into this script and take a work opportunity to reedem herself. This actress plays her role perfectly and every of her mimic fits in.
Fortunately other Cdramaland's dramas gift its audience with warm, faithful, loving mothers and mothers-in-law.

Thank you for sharing. When an elderly is no more it's like a library burning. They are no more but when sadness fills my mind, I think of them and by magic everything is clearer.
Spend as much time as possible with them either in person or on the phone. Care about their health. Ask them if they are happy. Bring them joy. Be gentle and funny with them. Make them laugh a lot (good for the lungs). For your family reunions, cook for them. Ask your parents their recipes and write them down in a book (those are like indelible footprints). Massage their hands to imprint them deeper in your soul. You feel them now and when they are nomore you'll feel that they walk hand in hand with you.
I love witnessing elderly couples walking side by side even a single elderly. They are precious. I'm always attentive when they walk down the pavement and walk behind them from a distance...just in case. They are survivors.

65 ! CONGRATS ! 6 months after my mother's death at age almost 90, my dad passed away. My father could never get away when he had an argument with her otherwise no s*xe. They still made to 8 healthy children. They told us that when we were adult. They never have an argument in front of us. My father was too proud to lose an argument.
