A series to watch when you're in the mood for something light without drama. It's cute, heartwarming and funny drama. Also I shipped Chang Yan and Zheng Dian. I don't care, they're in love.
The series is not about misunderstandings or lack of communication or inexperience. It is impossible for one to…
"the way they treat each other, look at each other, talk to each other, touch each other, converse with their eyes and create a whole sexual tension around them"
One of the things I liked about this series. Usually the characters never touch, then they give us emotionless kisses & NC scenes "to show us their love". But I never see it in those. I prefer when they show it though other kind of touch.
I also like the rest of your comment. It is an interesting thought. I didn't see that but I agree with it.
I have mixed feelings for this. 1st I'm a little disappointed about my expectation (imagination from the trailer) vs reality. Especially because what I imagined was of higher quality and the writing a lot more different. More mature, less like the usual Thai BL (we got that part, especially from the past story line). Also, I imagined some kind of color palette and atmosphere for both the past and present, so easier for the viewers to distinguish past from present.
About the series itself. My favorite part was the story line about their past. It was more emotional. Either between Ji and Achi or Ji's family especially his parents. I loved his parents' relationship & love, their support toward their sons and his mom's personality warmth.
I almost got the same feeling as in a family drama. Though that story line was not long enough or emotional enough for me. I wish it was longer and a bit differently written, to get more of the emotional.
The present. There were some second hand embarrassment or awkwardness between the characters. I don't know, the writing and the characters' actions felt childish? Especially in the first few episodes. Fortunately it got better. The concert in last episode felt like Hollywood movies. I don't know how to explain that😅 Anyways, didn't like that much.
NC scenes. The first one, in the past. It has been a long time since I felt my heart pounding like that while watching s*x scene. And never in a Thai BL (okay there is IFYLITA's scenes that I also like, but the feelings in those are different). I especially liked it because of the build up moment, the emotions, the fact that it was a continuation to the story. Not just s*x for s*x. Personally, I don't want s*x scenes for the sake of it. If there is no s*x at all, it's even better. There is p*** for that. If there are scenes s*x, I think it would be better to show the emotional connection between the characters.
That's why I didn't like the second one, in the present. You know how in yaoi manga they always have s*x after a love confession? That's how it felt. It's not needed and there is no emotions to it.
Also I didn't feel the chemistry in the beginning. And I like that the side couple didn't have much screen time. I'm getting tired of multiple couple in BL.
All in all, I enjoyed this series. Beside the past story line, I liked all the actors. Fluke being my favorite. I admit I'm a little biased toward him. I was overjoyed when I first heard he would be in another BL. I missed him so much!🥹 Plus, from my memories, his acting has improved. I hope he'll be in other, better BLs in the future, that this won't be his last. Either with Junior or another partner.
I only found out & watched this series' trailer even though I heard about it a few months ago. This series' plot looks absolutely incredible!!! I can't wait for this to come out! I have high expectations about it: the main actors are both talented and it's made by a huge company.
Thai BL are a little bit disappointing lately (plot less, focused on romance & sex) so I'm overjoyed about this being a thriller. I need more non-romance focused BL.
So I came here to know if they decided to ruin this drama by adding romance in season 2 (like Sweet home Ss2😒😤ðŸ˜)…
I agree with what you said about them. It's like you put the rights into my thoughts. I wrote my previous comment when I just started season 1. This is the kind of story that doesn't need romance. So at the time I was afraid they'd add one like they do in so many dramas. They love adding romance when there is no need for it or any chemistry between FL&ML.
To be honest, at the end, I liked her. I was even sad she wasn't in season 2. I'm pretty the story would've been completely different with her help.
I feel this pair is getting old and their chem is fading , is repetitive and too saccharine - maybe they should…
I also hope Gawin doesn't get fixed. His talent would be wasted if they did that. Same for FirstKhao. They're both really talented. So I hope for them GMMTV will give them more separate projects.
About the fixing ship part. I agree with you. They do it for easy money. They don't even have to make a good series. Lot of fans will watch anyway just to see their faves.
That's why I think the companies are the main reason fans are so against changing their favorite ship. I mean we only see that in Thai BL.
It started well. Then like all K-BL the ending was rushed. 8 episodes aren't enough to explore all the themes of this series. A longer series would've been better; it would have given us a deeper, more emotional story. Plus, a smoother transition between Tae Yi "hating" Se Heon to Tae Yi acting all silly because of love.
hyx ptsd? What do you mean? Is it about another series that was cancelled ?Sorry I'm just curious😅
I don't know. Maybe it's because there aren't Eng sub available on the usual popular website like Dramacool. So people are still waiting. Or they just completely forgot about it since it has been so long.
Sorry but JesBible, BibleJes, Bottom/Top debate are the most useless, disturbing, annoying, etc. in the BL world. Why…
I don't know about the LGBT community, but I know a lot of BL fans use it. I agree with you: I think it's outdated and offensive for LGBT people. I also used it before, when I started BL(teen) and didn't know any better. So maybe as they mature, people will stop using it?

Maybe because New is more focused on his music career than his acting? That's why he doesn't have as much work as Zee?
Fans are okay with BL actors having different female partners. There are quite some of them that play in straight romance series. However they're more reluctant when it comes to male partners. I don't know why they don't accept to see their faves with different men. Which is ridiculous and sad for the actors.
As for GMMTV, some of their actors change male partners for a few series. But when they find "THE pairing", they're stuck with them. That's what happened with Gun after OffGun became so popular and loved by fans. Same for EarthMix (in the 3 series I've seen with them, they've always had the same dynamic). And now, FirstKhao. Plus, I'm pretty sure we would have had the same thing with OhmNanon (multiple series for them) if that scandal didn't happen.

"I'm so so done with certain bl fans refusing to let their fav actors act with others" I agree 100% with that statement. Okay sometimes I want to see the same ship because 1 series isn't enough. Especially when the series is bad, but the pairing good. I want them to have another chance to show us their skills.
That's of course if the series are completely different from each other with different characters, which would show us a different dynamic between them. Unfortunately, most of the time, the series are similar as is the characters' personality.
However, above all, I want them to change their partners. First, for the actors themselves: it's good for their career as it'll help improve their skills and grow as an actor. Plus, it's easier to show different dynamics with different people. For example, Bible in KinnPorsche with Build and him in 4 minutes with Jes.
Also, at some point, it gets tiring to see the same ship. For example, I didn't even bother to watch the last OffGun's series because I'm tired of seeing them.
I hope that, soon, companies will stop being so rigid about the pairings and change them.
Also I shipped Chang Yan and Zheng Dian. I don't care, they're in love.
In any case, I'll prepare a huge tissue box while watching🤧
