Don't know about being from the same universe, just a different timeline, or being each other's reapers, but given…
They were communicating through telepathy? I understood it like them talking later. After the plane landed. You know how they make it sometimes in series: there are images from the present, while the dialogues are either from the past or the future.
I have 2 question: is there any love triangle in this series?(I hate that) If so, is it a big part of the story…
You were right. It won my heart. I watched within 2 days and I loved it. I even wrote a whole essay about it. I mean my comment is so long it's almost an essay🤣 I even stopped myself from writing more, And I have a lot of things I wanted to add🤣
Anyways it's thanks to you that I decided to watch. When I saw the "love triangle" tag I thought it would be the usual university bland BL focused on an annoying love triangle where 2 ML are in love with the same guy (I never read the synopsis since it may contain some spoiler).
Then you explained I read your comment. So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️
I hope to see Jet and Atom in more mature BL like this one or better.
A Thai BL without NC scenes, not focused on romance and where you must use your brain to understand what’s going on. No wonder the rating is so low.
Let’s start with my 1st impression on episode 1. It’s different from the usual Thai BL. The colors are darker. A lot of scenes at night. Then the characters started talking. Something felt off. Because of the color palette and atmosphere, I was expecting something different, more sophisticated, and mature. Instead, the dialogues, the characters’ behaviors, … felt like the usual university/silly BL? The way some were acting made them ridiculous. I felt like the writer didn’t know how to write a dialogue fit for that atmosphere.
After episode 2, I already knew I made the right decision to watch it. The plot quickly intrigued me. First, the supernatural part. I didn’t expect that: I didn’t watch the trailer nor read the synopsis or the tags. Second, Kyu. I wanted to know everything about him, his past, his story, his pain. Third, why did he appear in Sun’s life? (after finishing, I still don’t know)
As I was watching, something kept bugging me. Especially the scenes between Kyu and Sun. Their discussions at Sun’s apartment every night. Until it’s clicked! It felt like watching a play. That’s when I understood what was bothering me all along. What makes this series’ uniqueness. This series was a “filmed play” (or more like a mix): the acting, the long discussions and debates between the characters, etc. And I loved that. It was novel. I’ve never seen something like this before. It's the kind of series you must watch multiple time to fully grasp every hint, clue, metaphor… left for us.
Like I said, I really liked this series. Though there was something I wish was different: the way this was delivered. An example to explain what I mean. This series has a lot of references to Greek’s mythology. In 1 scenes K is talking about something. S is replies “it’s like Icarus”. Then proceed to explain.
I wanted more subtlety within the whole series, the dialogues, more mind game between Kyu, Sun, and the shop’s owner. We’d have to analyze every single word said. Well, we got some close impression of that sometimes, but it wasn’t enough for me. Not how I’m used to with some Asian drama. Especially in thrillers. Most of the time, it was too much in our face. Like we wouldn't understand otherwise. And at the same time, there were things that weren't explained enough, a lack of detail that made things confusing.
Anyways, I'll have to re-watch soon because I feel I missed some things. Because although it's not like I said above, there were still some hidden meanings. Also there were some confusing parts. Not fully explained or at least clear clues for us to interpret.
All in all, I loved this series. It's really underrated! The dialogues were interesting. And raw. Full of emotions. A beautiful cinematography that take us on a journey. Plus the leads chemistry was on fire!!! I hope to see Jet & Atom in more series. Mature series. As good as this one. Or even better. Together or not.
P.S: Did anyone notice that in episode 12 on the billboard 33:43 + 33:55? Wonder what does it mean.
P.P.S: I liked that 1 kiss they shared. So meaningful and heartbreaking! Better than giving us hundred meaningless kisses.
P.P.P.S: I wish there were translations of all the writings in the show. Not just the dialogues. I'm pretty sure they were some additional clues. Plus I'm curious about it.
Would someone mind spoiling the ending for me? I heard it has a happy ending but I'm not sure a robot and a human…
The uncle told his nephew he'll change Ever 9's appearance every 5 years (so they'll age together) until Chu Yi Ping's death. Then, from my understanding, Ever 9 will "die" (be destroyed?).
Also the uncle destroyed all files about Ever 9 from the database so no one will ever know that 9 existed in the Ever series.
I know that wasn't the point of this series. I perfectly understood it. I just wanted to share that thought in passing🤷 That's why I posted 2 different comments instead of the same comment.
Plus I didn't focus on the romance side. It was more of a background thought? Like "the characters need some love & sweetness(any type) in this cruel world".
Still I understand it can be disrespectful. I'll just delete the comment, No big deal.
The trailer is already out here with ENGSUB (though names in subs may not be very accurate) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biBkk1aC6CU
NOW I understand your comment😂 I even thought you were the kind of fan who couldn't accept negative critic about their fave (I know. My brain went to far. With just 1 sentence, it imagined all this+what I said in my previous comment🤦😅)
After UWMA, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt: maybe the problem wasn't his acting, but the directing. It happens. Anyways I never judge an actor's skills with only 1 series or movie.
Then I watched "609 bedtime story" and "Oh! My Sunshine Night"(didn't finish). In all 3 series he had the same expression & the characters have similar personalities. So I'm reluctant to watch this series since he's the ML. But there is Guide (I liked him in IFYLITA).
I know in Mr. Queen there were 2 souls. And that every time there were romantic scenes, the queen's soul was "awake" while the male's soul wasn't unlike her where it is only the male's soul.
I didn't watch Mr.Queen but I read enough about it to know the difference between both series about this part:)

Maybe it was only my interpretation from your words.
2/No I didn't read that book.
3/ I meant that the only way for us to know a person's sexuality is if that person told us. We can't be 100% sure of it just by looking at them.
Anyway, with this comment, I guess I understand more your mindset.
Well I don't mind this kind of "love triangle". So I can watch this series.
As for Top/Bottom, it's still used. A lot. Not outdated at all.
Also the uncle destroyed all files about Ever 9 from the database so no one will ever know that 9 existed in the Ever series.
This show wasn't cancelled. It came out, but I could only find episode 1 & 2 with Eng sub & on Dailymotion. The other are either raw or cut.
I tried watching Close friends. Couldn't. I even forgot its existence until now😂
Same. I can like an actor because of his skills, face, smile, 6 packs🤭, ... but I won't search everything about his life.
That's why I posted 2 different comments instead of the same comment.

Also when did I attack you???
The audacity of that person!!😂🤦♀️
I didn't watch Mr.Queen but I read enough about it to know the difference between both series about this part:)
I think that's that's the only reason most people kept watching.
