Yes. I guess it depends on the writing. Maybe not the usual K-Drama's length, but close enough. With enough time to develop the characters and the relationship between them. To be more invested.

I feel the same!!!! Though I rarely watched Hollywood to begin with (before dramas. it was manga/animes). There is just something about Asian dramas that make me more invested in the characters. I really understand what you mean because I feel the same.

About sex scenes featuring some level of dubious consent, Your p.o.v about it is interesting. Never thought about it like that. Though I still dislike it.

I understand what you mean about sex scenes in general. I also like them when well done. For example I hated them in Venus in the sky. It was so cringe and uncomfortable. I skipped them.

However, in I feel you linger in the air, I loved them. Each scene gave different emotions, which added more depth. It was like a continuation of the series. Not a scene added for horny viewers. That's what I want if there are sex scenes. I wouldn't mind no sex scenes either.

Sometimes I don't mind BL without coming out & harsh reality. It's the only theme in the rare American's shows. It's tiring. I think it's good to have them fall in love with a guy without people around them being surprised. Because it's normal.

But I also need some drama. So it would be good to add that from time to time. And it's better than the "love triangle" or "cheating" tropes that writers love to add when they don't have any imagination. For a good balance.

Also I think Chinese companies started bromance tag as a cover for censored BL after it was banned. Then the government figured it out so they're also banning all series with bromance.

Anyways, I wish for more quality BL that don't focus on NC scenes.

My comment was about that part. So you said that. I said you were wrong about K-BL (though I admit there are 2-3 that have NC scenes. Not on Thai's level). Maybe I didn't read all your comment before posting. I don't remember.

You are right about Thai BL. Most of them have NC scenes. Though NC scenes doesn't always mean bad series. Some are good.

Also I separate NC scenes into 2 categories:
1/ p*r* like. Most common in BL. Not my favorite.
2/ artistic ones. It's all about emotions & art. Plus it adds something to the story. My favorite.

For example, in Thai BL 1/KinnPorsche 2/I feel you linger in the air

Unfortunately a lot of series with NC scenes focus on that while making the plot bland.

To be honest I think it's an open ending. I say happy ending because I don't want to cry anymore😂

However, deep down, I interpreted it as a sad ending. With both of them dead😢

Same. I wish the queen's soul completely left (which means she would die but well...)
Plus they could have shown us the male soul in the background throughout the series with his male voice.
I hope they'll make another remake that won't shy away from that "male love male" part

I don't fully remember the series. It has been years since I watched. In my memories the king knew he was a man. Maybe I was wrong? Or was it only implied so some people missed the hint?🤔

Anyways in this series, the guy and the queen didn't share the body. The queen's soul left and the guy's soul came to the body. So when the king fell in love with "her", he fell for the soul (he didn't love the queen before that).
And, of course, it's the guy who fell in love with the king, not the queen since she isn't here anymore.

Though the writing & editing could have been done better. For example they could have shown us, the viewers, the guy's soul throughout the series, whichever way they chose to do so would be okay.
And when he was thinking, they should've used his male voice.

Also the male didn't trick the king? At 1st both hated each other. It wasn't a love marriage. Then they both fell in love.



"And how can only showing queer relationship make a drama better?" I didn't say that? I said that, since I didn't watch Mr.Queen, I can't say which one is better. To compare both dramas, I have to watch them both. Plus I know Go princess Go! has a lot of flaws and Mr.Queen a higher budget.

However I think they were more honest about the "male falling for another male" part because the female's soul didn't stay in her body to appear every time they showed love between the king and queen.



P.S: showing queer relationship can make a drama better in 1 situation: when we're talking about the representation. It doesn't mean that everything in the drama is better, but that point could be. I hope you understand what I mean😅
