Because in a lot of stories romance, like oil & water, don't mix well with the plot. Sadly 99% of kdrama add romance to attract people who like it when it's unnecessary to the plot.
I don't. I just wish there were as much kdrama without romance as those who have it. To balance. 😅🤷

I love this drama. Especially the character development we see. It's the first drama I watch where it happened for almost all the characters, if not all of them.
My favorite are Myung Seok's our cute Gluttonous Sociopath and of course TQ's lovely Psychopath😂

I think I've seen this drama 3-4 times since it came out? And I still like it. It's such a refreshing & funny drama! Though it would have been better without Seo Yool's little crush.
Speaking of him, I like Lee Jun Ho's way of eating; it makes me HUNGRY.I just want to put my hands through the screen and take the food he eats for me😅😂

Also 1 of the best part of this drama is Kim Sung Ryong/Seo Yool's bromance😌🤭

No romance thanks god. Maybe some one-sided crushes, but it's subtle. Not the main topic.

Maybe it's just me. In this series I didn't feel their relationship & feelings develop the way it should in a real slow burn. Like you said maybe it's because of the editing?

It's such a shame: they had material to make a good slow burn (there aren't enough in BL drama & that's my favorite kind of romance)

It's like they wanted to talk about 100 different themes but they didn't have time to develop any of them...

In my case I just kept watching to know how they would find out about the switching...and they even ruined that part

I liked the actor's chemistry. However at some point the plot went everywhere without being good at any of the intrigues. Also why did it end without the volleyball's teamates knowing about the switch???????

It wasn't a slow burn. Their love came out of nowhere, especially First's: 1 episode he hates Zee, the next he confesses.

There is no worse. Both are equally bad. Both are dead. Both are deprived of a life they couldn't have because of that incident.
It's just that in 1 case the victim is still breathing and has a chance to change & fight; which isn't easy while the other doesn't have that chance at all.

Because the tags aren't accurate. The amount of series I've seen with no "Romance" or "Slight romance" tags, yet they have it!😩

P.S: I don't hate romance. I just think that it's unnecessary & useless in some kind of stories. It's just not relevant to the plot.

Not all people asking if there is romance are looking for that genre. I'm pretty sure some of them are asking because they don't want a romance focused drama.

I mean that's the same reason I'm looking for these kind of comments. I like it even more when people ask if there is slight romance or not at all because it already happened that I started a drama thinking there were not but the leads kept flirting or doing other subtle actions that imply a love

I just want more dramas where FL & ML are just friends or having other types of relationships that aren't love interest. More diversity in the genres. Then maybe we'll get more interesting FL that aren't just empty dolls who are only there to make the ML straight & a hero.

I'm not even a medical doctor yet I feel the same way about these scenes. They kept pulling me out of this series' universe.

The female lead looks dumb, but she isn't. She's quite capable and thanks to Han Tea Joo she could shines whereas she couldn't before he comes because of the time & her male coworkers.

For real, the romance in 99% of kdramas tires me and I spend HOURS searching for none-romance series when I'm in the mood for kdramas😫
Could they start making more none romance dramas???

It's even more difficult to find what I want because of the tags here : so many series with romance in it yet they don't have romance tag or worse, non-romance drama lists where more than half of them have romance in them😒

I think you can still re-watch if
1/ you want to see some things you didn't catch on the 1st watch
or
2/ you wait long enough to forget the plot

Ikr. I really like kdrama. Unfortunately 99% of them are either romance focused or have slight romance. Could make more 0 romance series where ML & FL can just be friends without any ambiguity?
Romance ruin most of the none focused romance dramas so every time I want to watch I search the comment section to know if there is romance. It's sad how little Asian dramas doesn't have that :(

For example I wish Ghost Doctor (cause I just finished it) was more about the doctor seeing ghost part with lot of patients and surgeries while erasing ALL of the unnecessary romance

Well if it says non rom then it shouldn't have any romance at all because that's what people want to watch.
You just have to make another list "slight romance"

That's one of the reason I hate Netflix. I mean I prefer Asian to US shows because of the 1 season/full story.

I need more kdrama like this one: good story line, strong bromance/censored BL? without any female love interest!!!!!
