I love this series. I watched it few months ago and I'm already re-watching it. It's such a masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!! All the actors did a great job., be it the main actors or the support actors.
My only complain: it's too short. 12 episodes isn't enough. It should be longer!

This kind of drama is really my favorite. I need a lot more like that!! What I mean: when the main characters, in addition of having their own story which is the main plot of the drama, meet other characters throughout the drama, each with their own story, that we learn together with the MC. These stories are often beautiful, warm, heartbreaking...
I don't know if the genre has its own name, but we find it in different kind of genres & stories: supernatural, investigation, family, etc.

So if someone has any recommendation, please share it with me. I already watched
-Move to heaven
-Tomorrow
-Under the skin
-D.P; Ss1+2 (Ss2's stories were my favorite)
-Missing: the other side; Ss1+2
-Taxi driver; Ss1+2 (This one was the least emotional among them all since it was more focused on the action. I didn't cry much.)


P.S: Is it just me or does this drama's opening feels like Under the skin opening? The music and the vibes from both are similar.

Ikr. I hate when they do that. There are already so many romance story out there. Could they stop adding it to every other genre? Especially when it's unnecessary to the story. Like you said I want more bromance and sismance.

Plus I need more FL with their own story, has their own personality, ...
A FL who can only be friend with the ML without any ambiguity. A FL that isn't here to play the "damsel in distress" for the ML to save her, fall in love with her & prove the viewers that he's straight.

I'll also wait for the series to be complete to watch it. I don't mind watching a non-BL series with a gay character for them as long as they have their own story & their own interesting personality. Also lets hope he has a lot of screen time.

Can't they let us at least enjoy the Bromance series even if they ban BL😭😭😭

People are angry because they turn a gay love story into straight love story. There are already million straight novels & dramas out here. If you're homophobic just don't adapt a gay love story or at least remove the romance & make them friends WITHOUT adding a female😒😒😒

So people who want to watch a BL series are tired of the way companies keep adapting same-sex love stories by making it straight.

It's a spoiler so I'll add it there.
I didn't even feel anything when the sister died.
Meanwhile in another drama I cried for half of the FIRST episode because of
1/ some random guy dying in the beginning of episode 1.
2/the MC's dad dying at the end of the same episode.

(I won't say the name since it could be a spoiler to that other drama😅)

There are 2 things (for now) I hate with the news K-Dramas:

1/SHORTER + MULTIPLE SEASONS format. I want the old "16-20 episodes + 1 season" format back. After all,that's why I prefer K-Drama (and Asian drama in general) to the 16+ seasons US series.

2/The characters. One thing I like in K-Drama is how the characters are written. They feel more "humans". Even the relationship between them is warmer. The bonds, stronger. I feel attached to them.
For example I can cry for a character I only see once in a K-Drama while I don't feel anything for main character in American shows

I'm not saying it's a Manichean world where all K-Drama's characters are "humanely" written vs all American series' characters aren't.
However the percentage of K-Drama is higher.

In this series I feel this lack of character's depth and human's bond, Even if 5-8 or Sa Wol died I wouldn't cry (And I cry easily. Sometime even if it's only a support character that we see in a flashback).

This is a good drama in some aspects. Plus all the actors did a good job. However there is that depth missing from the characters & the story. It's beautiful on the surface, but the more you dig, the more faults you find; mainly in the characters.
Maybe we could've had a deeper story & characters if the drama was longer?

At least they could have left the censored BL like The untamed😢

I think that's because a lot of drama play on that blurry line between strong friendship & some homoerotic subtext to attract BL fans.
So a lot of people don't know the definition anymore and see bromance as censored BL.
Especially since lot of censored BL shows are tagged bromance.

I wish this was a whole drama. Maybe one day?

Naaa! For me they're even more beautiful because they focus on the story to make it interesting instead of a lousy story that only focus on NC scenes to sell it.

Park Jae Shik was a better dad than a lot of biological fathers out there. Including Eun Hye's father. He was awesome to her even before fully realizing that he considered her his own daughter.
And Eun Hye was so cute every time she smiled. You just want to give her lot of love & hugs.

Anyways, I loved this beautiful movie!🥰

Well it was allowed before...and way more than that. Patients weren't considered humans at all.
Though I don't know if there are still places in the world where it's allowed.

I'm not saying it's wrong to drop a show, but it's wrong to judge a whole show based on only 7 minutes. Sometimes your instincts can be wrong.

Also I'm just weird: I often drop dramas because I'm finally not in the mood to watch them...and I love them (like beyond evil)😅 or because of another reason but I'm sure you don't care...(anyways I'm not even sure I know the whole reason myself).

About Thai BL, sadly they often focus on the NC scenes to please teens' hormones instead of the plot. I wish they make more good/deep plot BL without NC scenes (I personally prefer when they demonstrate their love with hugs, eye-hearts, hand-holdings, etc.). I hope they'll do that in 2024.

However, I don't watch straight Thai dramas, so maybe it's the same problem for them🤔 So a problem with the whole Thai industry?

Anyways I just think there are still few good dramas among them. Even with some flaws like IFYLITA, Last twilight, The sign...

I was polite in my comment so please don't be condescending with me. I'm not a little girl. I can accept other people opinions & dislikes of shows I like. I can see the flaws in dramas I like & dislike.

I only dislike disrespectful (maybe some of them aren't but I sometimes interpret them like that like yours?) & homophobic (some sick people go to BL shows just to wright that🙄) comments.


Life is beautiful is long because it's a family TV K-Drama. We follow the whole members of the family in their daily life. However there is a cut version of the gay couple (KyungSoo/TaeSub) on bilibili. I don't know how it is since I only watched the whole drama.

As much as I like BL showing us a simple BxB love story because it's as normal as BxG love I still wish more BL showed the family reaction to their coming with some supportive & some homophobic (for a good cry). Or just the family bond since most BL feel like the characters are orphans.

In this show Kyung Soo's family was homophobic (we barely see them) while Tae Sub's family was supportive. Plus both actors are really good, especially Tae Sub's actor.

P.S: There are some old fashioned thinking? in the drama, but overall it's really good. A show where the family is above all. I mostly want to recommend this series because there aren't many BL fans who know about this ship

There are feminine gay men & none feminine gay men in the world. And imply that feminine gay men aren't "normal" IS homophobic & must be hurtful for them :(
