My. This looks good, doesn't it?

This show is going to be my 2nd favorite Cdrama of all time, I think. I still have the last 10 episodes to watch, and as we all know, Cdramas are famous for taking a show you've loved with your whole heart for 39 episodes, only to smash you hard in the face in the last episode. My fingers are crossed . . .

This one is not for me. Could only manage 20 minutes before I had to abandon ship.

As long as the characters involved in the romance are of legal age, I don't have a problem with an age gap (but I do still find much older women with young men squicky, but that's me not having overcome my residual sexism). If one of the leads is still in their teens involved with a much older character, that's a big nope for me.

Every episode I've seen so far (up to the fourth now) makes me want to run out of the room with my hair on fire. And that's why this is an excellent lakorn. Every character is someone I'd like to shoot into the sun. Except for the Nanny. She's alright.

Many, many thanks to the subber of this drama, whom I will not name because of the trolls, but she knows who she is, and she's fabulous.

Me, too! 95% of the time, I wait until a Cdrama has wrapped up before I'll watch it, just in case I've watched 85 1/2 hours of it, and only to have one of the leads die in the last 30 minutes.

I was definitely going to skip reading this article, because I ain't never going to watch a drama with a SE on purpose, but then it dawned on me that your article could be read as a warning about dramas to avoid. Which, you know, too late, because I've already seen more than half of these dramas and you are absolutely right about them.

Next time, please write an article I find useful BEFORE I watch the drama, okay?

About 17 minutes into the first episode, I was sorry I started watching this now, because this is a Cdrama I want to watch from start to finish all in one gulp, without pausing even long enough to get a sandwich. This is the first Cdrama I've live watched, and if it continues to be as good as the first episodes, it's on track to be the best Cdrama of all time.

This is the sort of over the top plot that Lakorns do so well. Hope one of the Thai subber angels picks it up.

Not sure why I just re-watched this, and I probably wrote this the first time, but the FL is just so . . . weepy--she has one expression in this show for 20 hours. Someone yell at me if I forget this again and try to watch this drama for a 3rd time.

Historical dramas are the ones I start with the most enthusiasm and hope only to get 5 or so episodes in and have my enthusiasm slink off to die under a cactus somewhere. There've been a few exceptions: The Story of Yanxi Palace (I loved this so much.) Sungkyukwan Scandal. The Story of Ming Lan. And then there are others I've tried--really tried to watch and can't get past the first two episodes. Nirvana in Fire, for example . So boring. The Untamed. So confusing.

Historicals are clearly not my favorite genre, but I really want it to be.

I love lakorns. I think I watched half a dozen or more before I could get used to the language, which I initially found dislikable. But then I watched Kluen Cheewit and loved everything about it. To this day, I'll watch episode 12 of that when I just want to watch something exciting. After Kluen Cheewit, I went back and re-watched all the lakorns I'd already seen, and then I fell in love.

I appreciate everyone who subs dramas and make it possible for me to watch them, but I'm especially appreciative of the Thai subbing community, which is so small, so devoted, working with such challenging material. [Hearts shooting out of my eyes]

I could write an encyclopedia on the many, many ways Cdrama FL's are characterized, badly, by their script writers. They're too frequently written as so naive, innocent, or immature they're annoying (at best) or stupid. Or both. I don't know why Cdrama writers do this. Girls/women can be innocent, guileless, naive without also being dimwits.

It's a Cdrama. The FL is always an impulsive, immature girl. Frequently, she has bad hair, too.

What a quietly lovely show. I cried good tears every episode.

I learned just minutes ago that readers who use dark mode for most of their screen use experience difficulty when they have to use the reverse ("light mode"?), sort of like having someone yank open the curtains when you've been having a lovely nap and it's lunch time.

I know that people like dark mode, else it wouldn't be an option in so many apps and sites, but I don't understand why. To me, it's like mouse print, deliberately writing in a font that's very small and difficult to read. Why? Why make it harder for people to read your stuff?
