Bai Yu is an excellent actor I really like him. I heard good things about that but I skipped it bc I used to be in that industry it just made me think of work.

Yes he was overshadowed but he still held his own well in that all star JOL cast.

I actually dislike her "maid" more - she is even nastier. And there seems to be something going on between them.

I think Zhang Haowei did most of the heavy lifting in the 2ML role and he did it well. His face replacement just had to mimic the expressions. I wish we could have seen the original. Nonetheless I like the first love arc and I feel sorry for both of them.

This supporting cast is strong. I am looking forward to it.

If you re-read carefully what I wrote, after adjusting for infant mortality it was closer to 50-60. Men and women married early, often after puberty. 20 is not a scientific number for male adulthood.

During ancient China, the average life expectancy was 30 and for people who survived to adulthood, at best 50-60. People matured and aged faster bc life was just a lot harder and shorter and nutrition was not great. So you can't expect a 17 year old then to look like a 17 year old today. They probably should at least look like they are well past their mid-20s. That said, I do think Tan Songyun has started to show her age. Its not so bad that it takes me out of the drama and I'd still take her over all the many blank young actresses that can't act.

Just for the Beyond songs, I can watch this.

Hopefully she isn't the main villain.
