There are very few really excellent lead roles in dramas for actors over 35, male and female and they compete against a very deep talent pool. Even for someone like ZRY I doubt we see him again in a super high budget c-drama after JOL3 and maybe SSS2. That's why he is trying the big screen where the money is better and there are many good roles for 40s-50s actors.

My understanding is the distribution license is never that complicated. Its just getting permission to air over the intended platform, audience reached, promotion etc. If there is any adjustment needed its just small stuff like you can't advertise to certain market segments. Its the censorship process that takes forever. Many times, they don't even bother to apply for the distribution license until close to the time they want to air bc it expires and its a relatively easy second step in the whole process.

My understanding was that it had passed censorship around the time the controversy broke. After which getting the distribution license is relatively simple and straightforward. So as long as she is in the clear, its a matter of simple procedure to actually obtain it. I didn't seriously expect it today but I think it can be soon and if Tencent is smart, they will release it asap. Bc its quite obvious someone is out to get the actress.
