Yes, Tianwaitian should still be just one step before Nirvana, which is ceasing to exist. But they should be Enlightened already except they still care about the world so they hold off Nirvana so that they can save people. The Buddhist view encompasses the Taoist universe as well. It acknowledges all gods across all faiths in different lower levels of heavens; ie. less enlightened. Lol!

I believe there are 6 realms - gods, demi-gods, humans, animals, hungry ghosts/asuras and hell where all beings continue to cycle through these levels. Most xianxias simplifies it down to 3 or 4 realms. This one probably focuses only on the top 3 - gods/, demi gods and mortal. However, within the god and demi-god realms there should be many different layers of heavens as well. The Tianwaitian is the highest level where essentially the old gods are free from the rebirth cycle. That is why Xingzhi was born from the universe and the ancient gods disperse back into the universe when they die. However when they get demoted, they enter the cycle again, Qing Ye and later on Xingzhi.

I prefer simplicity and economy of words so If I were translating this, I would use Spirit realm, Sky realm and Sky Above. I think use of Immortal realm for either realm is just bad and confusing on both Tencent and Viki's parts because both realms are immortals. As for Bicang Wang I would just use King Bicang. In general I don't believe in translating names of people or places. Besides, 碧苍王/Bicang wang literally translates into Azure King; the translator just added the word Sky from nowhere. In this case, the name has (a tiny bit of) relevance later on so it makes sense to use King Bicang (Azure) the first time the title comes up and then one more time at the relevant part to make the connection clear. Otherwise it just becomes too wordy and cumbersome. I know Viki likes to explain things and it is very helpful but I think they should differentiate between elaborating for the sake of doing so and when the elaboration is for a substantive point.
