Yes the wheelchair guy is Lanjiang's father. Lanjiang already figured out that Ripple /水波 is the successor of Gold Water/金水 and Sun Zhen is with Ripple. He is gonna be in shock when he realizes his dad is behind Ripple. His old man either lacks imagination or has a fixation on money and water - Silver Rain, Gold Water and then finally Ripple.
I think we may not have met the final mastermind. There are other characters we haven't seen yet including of course the empress. But I suspect this is somehow more related to the commandery or county princess - Heyang must be her county which is why she is showing up in Heyang and sending Pan Yue to investigate. I think Pan Yue's dad is also probably not a bad guy bc he seems to know that Yang Caiwei was hidding in Heyang and never exposed her.
Are they? This xianxia explores a similar theme that was explored in Love & Destiny
By connection I mean there was a lot of Xing Zhi in Xing Yun bc he has his memories intact in the mortal world. Shen Li didn’t know that and assumes Xing Yun didn’t remember he was Xing Zhi and now Zing Zhi doesn’t remember his mortal self. This story is like Pillow Book except the FL is not ditzy. Xing Zhi is a primordial god from beyond the realms. He should be impartial.
Technically it should be an S+ drama. But since actor pay is the biggest cost and ZLY is top billed and the producer/biggest investor in it she could have just made her pay zero or $1. Its in one pocket out another for her. The other investors however may have had to invest as if she got paid her full salary.

Yeah the only thing I am not that convinced over is whether he is old enough at the time to be so senior in Ripple? But there is no reference to his father so I assume he is the head of the family and maybe quite a bit older than his sister.

She cultivated from a phoenix. So she is a phoenix spirit/凤凰灵 /Fènghuáng líng , an immortal. You could also use yao or a demon too but in this universe it is technically called the Spirit Realm 灵界 although WeTV translates that as The Immortal Realm. I would have preferred to use Spirit Realm since the Divine Realm are also immortals but its the translator's preference.

Nope they did not. LGX is dubbed by Bian Jiang who is THE VOICE. Bian Jiang also dubbed him in PA and was the voice of Ye Hua, Zhousheng Chen, Hei Fengxi, Lan Zhan, Tuoba Jun etc. He literally made a bunch of roles/actors super hot and famous. ZLY is dubbed by ZLS's voice dubber in TLB and WRTW. Both ZLY and LGX are more than capable of dubbing themselves. I don't know why they chose not to but their explanation is not convincing especially to native speakers familiar with their previous works. That said, I think the dubbing job is well done so I am ok with it.
