I am not sure Governor Sun Jing outright seized the throne. He is just holding both King Liang (Li Ni's father) and the Imperial great grandson hostage. And he is misbehaving with the great grandson's mother Consort Xiao. So he can effectively rule in their name as regent. But crowning himself emperor is another matter, not clear that he has done that yet.

Dubbing lists are out! Xu Kai and Jing Tian are dubbed by Gong Jun and Dilraba’s voice actors in Legend of Anle Zheng Fuzheng and Liu Xiaoyu. 🤦🏻‍♀️😅😂😂😂. He also dubbed Ashile Sun in TLB among others. And she was Jing Tian’s dubber in the super long Glory of Tang. She also dubbed Li Qin in Song of Glory.

So far the Douban comments are actually pretty good. The only negative I have saw was a news article when the trailer was launched criticizing Xu Kai's dubbing and the choice of dubbing actor. As for the MDL rating it doesn't matter, maybe like 10 people voted so far. They should just not publish it so soon.

He is just trying to make her look like a simple peasant woman and not a higborn general from the mighty Cui clan.

Not everyone who criticizes an actor is an anti - you shouldn't be so quick to label people. Everyone has different impressions and its ok to share them. I pick dramas for plot and if the acting is acceptable enough I continue. I have to work for a living ard really don't have the time or energy to follow any particular actors or be anti-them either. As I have observed he is a decent actor who has perhaps not gotten the recognition he is capable of and there are possible reasons why. I am not alone in pointing these out. If you don't like to read them, keep scrollling.

Well different tastes - those were the two I dropped like hot cakes but also both bc of the FL and not Xu Kai.

Intolerance of criticism is what creates toxic environments.

To my knowledge’ he only dubbed himself in a modern drama but pretty much everyone does that bc those are mostly recorded on set.

Xu Kai has done himself no favors. He is a very charming actor who can even do comedy well but he has shown a complete and utter lack of discernment in the projects he selects and has been teamed with some really dreadful actresses. He is also not taken seriously because he still cant be bothered to take the needed time out to work on his voice acting and has to be dubbed all the time. Other actors like Cheng Yi, Zhang Linghe and even Ren Jialun also have issues with their lines but at least they are trying and fans really appreciate that about them. So far outside of Yanxi Palace (which I didn’t watch) he really hasn’t made his mark in any role. The few ones I remember are always bc he has hot chemistry with his FL and not because of any exceptional character acting from him. I do think he has potential and he was actually quite good in Court Lady as well although he did not have much screen time.

According to Douban books the novel was published in June 2023.. It wasn’t launched as a web novel. It is rated. 7.0 on Douban books.

They both have small short faces. Looks good, somehow matching together.
