I don't know how he swung it but Xiang Liu's white/grey wig is the most divine one I have ever seen in c-drama. It looks so smooth, silky and gorgeous I want to run my hands through it all day.

The Legend of XYZ is an over used and generic way to translate Chinese drama titles without having to explain…
No let's not go there - notorious has three syllables. We have enough issues with legends that only has two...😂😂😂
To be fair though, some of the worst dramas I have watched are Legend of Something - Fuyao, Anle, Fei, Xiao Chuo... (sorry if you liked any of them) And none of the best dramas I have watched have Legend in them (NIF, JOL, TRoP) ...👀🧐🤔

I think you have a reading comprehension problem. They never used Legend in the Chinese title and Legend does not mean strong and independent. Google it, don't take my word for it. Her shocking inability to compose poems for example can also be described as legendary.

ep 20
I understand and agree that is his intention. I am just laughing bc I think he doesn't consider that the other way to look at it.

I don't know why the shifu will find that reassuring - that is all the more reason to live in the moment and seize the day!

Its been mostly #3 this week behind Legend of the Undercover Cook and Lost You Forever.
I think it is quite funny and the action scenes are very good but I put it on hold for now to re-watch LYF with @sony_t. I hear the subs are not good and you may need good subs to understand the humor. I suggest writing to Tencent asking them to fix it - they usually do upon request at a lag.

The Legend of Zhuohua is not so legend. She is running behind coattail of her sugar daddy Liu Yan.There are problems…
The Legend of XYZ is an over used and generic way to translate Chinese drama titles without having to explain the literary or cultural relevance that would be lost on most non-Chinese literate audiences anyway. The Chinese title 灼灼风流 is more accurately translated as A Scorching Romance with scorching being a word play on part of her name Zhuo Zhuo 灼灼. This is just supposed to be a hot romance, there is nothing magnificent or deep being claimed at all. It is unfortunate you read too much into it.

I haven't bothered with episode trailers because they tend to detract or sidetrack. I just wait for the episode…
I don't watch them either bc they tend to spoil the best moments of the coming episodes and makes me feel anti-climax later on. But people keep posting comments that must come from trailers that make me think I missed something.

Review Lost You Forever Spoiler
Ty - IMHO to Xiao Yao, Cang Xuan comes first but he is her brother; she loves him in a platonic way. And Xiang…
That's true I am just saying she only thinks of CX as a brother. He may not feel the same. I didn't read the novel either I am happy to just find out in the drama.

Its one of the hardest things to fix. I learned Canto first and it took me years to learn how to speak clean Mandarin. Now I am scared to listen to Cantopop or watch Canto shows to avoid sliding back to all my bad habits. As far as I can remember, Tan Jianci's Mandarin has always been very clean. Maybe he is just good at languages.

Yeah but nowadays most Canto kids learn Mandarin first even at home. Otherwise its very hard to speak standard Mandarin bc Canto has more tones. I suspect he learned Mandarin first bc his Mandarin is very clean. If he learned Canto first, he would have the same problem Xu Kai and most other Canto native speakers have. My nieces also learned Mandarin first, they still can't really speak Cantonese but their Mandarin is flawless.
