Another excellently written review. I had no intention of watching this when announced because I'm not a fan of…
My original plan was only to watch it after S2 had an air date but that dratted @Kumaxell kept spamming the feed with such divine screenshots of Tan Jianci I got sucked into checking it out and next thing I knew I was at the last episode…
Your reviews are always so eloquent! I don't know how you do it.I kinda ignored all the love for this drama on…
Thank you. ☺️ I think part 2 is only 19 episodes. There are a lot of secrets that keep things intriguing and the politicking is not unbearable it is just the first arc is a lot more exciting by comparison. It is definitely a lot better than the standard xianxia bc it doesn’t have all that reincarnation crap they just live a very long time but once they are dead that’s it. I think you should give it a try it may take you by surprise. I really love this drama and am rewatching it right now with @sony_t even though I am not a big rewatcher.
“ The most outstanding aspect of Longxi's storytelling is how masterfully the narrative builds up to the plot…
Yeah the build up and the climaxes are so well done. It’s a pity the start is so difficult to get through I know many people dropped this. But glad you and your partner stuck it out!
Someone on reddit apparently said that girl power and forward thinking would put people off. I was kind of baffled…
Don’t care about IMDB at all. The user base is too heavily skewers with people who are either indifferent to or biased and ignorant about Chinese language and culture. I don’t see any point in wasting time educating them.
Zhi Mo is a hottie even though in real life he has that strange stand up straight porcupine hair!
Good for you! 👏👏👏 I usually played Chin Li - I start strong and kick his butt a bit but get bored and usually lose partly bc the bro would be just completely unbearable if I win!!! 😅😱😂

Totally Ghillie but this kind of hair is totally an outlier for a Caucasian!. He was my bro's favorite - we used to duke it out at the arcade all the time.
i liked the first 4 episodes but the age gap is a turn off for me. idk if i should continue
Neither of them are spring chickens and there is no age gap that matters. Even when she was 18 and he was 27, they could have been appropriately cast together. Xiao Zhan 31 and Ren Min 23 were just cast together and no one made a fuss about it.
