Actually you can see where they changed screen writers. The original one was going after who was eliminating the sects, secretly building an army and also the token keeper mystery. Which should have had them hot on the heels of YWY. The one that took over started cutting and pasting from other dramas - most of the Yongzhou arc is from Royal Nirvana and that last scene in ep 40 is so obviously from TMOPB I am embarrassed they even dare to put it in a trailer. I guess this is what happens when you lose the writer half way.

Well it sounds like they are blaming Yang2 for demanding changes to the script that amplifies his role. I am sure there could have been some level of that but on the other hand, maybe they just did a shit job and now they are trying to blame the actor??? I don't think we will really know what happened and how this adaptation end up this way but I think that any producer/director that lets an ACTOR dictate how the story is told needs a few hard kicks in the butt.
