While I largely agree with you, I think the series entertains me more than it does you. Despite noticing all those flaws, I watched episode 3 as soon as I could and am already looking forward to episode 4. I suppose it’s a guilty pleasure. For what it’s worth, I think episode 3 was the best one so far.

Even so, I prefer this type of storyline (where the FL or ML has an initial love interest but then he/she develops feelings for other person) over the clichéd "first love they never forget" or the connection rooted in childhood or shared trauma. It seems to me that starting with a different love interest is less common these days.

I think what he means is that he is not watching it because it seems uninteresting if the only scene people are talking about is a kiss.

He was a nice character in Spirit Fingers too.

I’ve watched both episodes, and yes, I’d say she’s quite immature. It doesn’t matter that she spends a lot of time drunk, because she acts in very unnatural ways even when she’s sober. Luckily, she relaxes a bit in the second episode.

Bromance = Friendship in my book. I don't watch BL but I love bromances (friendship between men, without romantic feelings).

That's because in this drama she is only part of one of the subplots. Romance was not needed.

This is only friendship. You are imagining things. In fact Zhan Zhao is a popular character in Chinese pop culture, and he has his own love interest in another character (who is present in this show, even though the romantic plot hasn't been developed).
