This came across on a Telegram channel. At first I thought this bloke could be a CCP apologist, but the reasoning is actually quite logical and seeing the drama is now airing apparently intact on 4 different platforms - all easily accessible to mainland Chinese as well - I must say it actually makes sense. The technical error as a raison d'être is still hard to believe, but the rest sounds reasonable and if CCP really wanted to bury this show we would not have got it back, not to mention in less than 3 months.
"It was cancelled (not banned) in IQiYi due to technical issues (team said it's inner circle problem) But then after solving the issue sold to other platforms.
I asked the team it's because of being BL or having problem with NRTA They say everything was legal NRTA give them permission and it's not because it's BL But for some inner issues they can't mention widely.
I was there in weibo group and when everyone said the drama won't back the team said they are trying their Best to get NRTA permission to sell to other platforms and re-broadcast
Yeah... They never mentioned why such a thing happened even when they have China NRTA permission but whatever it is it's not due being BL or other such a thing because as you see NRTA give permission to sell to other platforms (even for making Chinese BL or broadcast in non-mainland platform you need NRTA approval)
China always have these kind of things... I saw drama get cancelled and then broadcast in other platforms Drama get banned and never see the light Drama postponed it's broadcast And so on.. Not only BL or Bromance but also for BG drama🤦♀"
Could you all stop childish and inane scaremongering? It’s not helpful. This was sold to several international streaming platforms, so it is a done deal. Has something happened to The Spirealm once it went to Viki? Nothing.
Furthermore Love in the Big City was released at once, with all its episodes for different, atristic reasons. There are no state control over streaming platforms in South Korea. Stop spreading misinformation.
FYI, Consent Age in Japan by their law is 16 years old you are legal to do sexual thing with no restrictions on…
Peadophilia means being sexually attracted to prepubecenst kids and a 16-17 years old youth is way beyond that, so it does not classify as peadophilia anywhere in the world, not just in Japan.
So the subtitles are really bad but what from what I got is that dohoi's dad had been hitting juyeong bc his parents…
I know that corporate punishment was a legal right of teachers and parents until very recently in South Korea, but the police coming for a kid who only tried to defend himself seems rather far-fetched to me, even in South Korean surroundings 12 years ago.
Wild speculation here but...she needed the entire family distracted and away from the house. Injuring Home in…
The problem with this theory is that she was there in the hospital along with the family members and she did not seem to leave earlier. Plus this still does not explain messing with Hope’s alcohol level. The latter requires some power influence the family or the lawyer are more likely to have.
Unless they come up with a twist, here is the first slight flaw with the writing. Kan’s revenge plan was quite logical until today. She obviously saw Hope was a good-natured and well-intentioned kid and still fairly clueless about his family affairs, so doing so much damage to him seems off. Maybe she convinced herself Hope is no different, after seeing the video about his hit-and-run crime against Peach being covered up, but trying to kill him is too much and does not suit Kan’s character. Maybe she was just around when the car accident happened and she tried to eliminate the evidence of her presence there to mute suspicion potentially leading to her. Also messing with Hope’s blood alcohol level is not really something she could arrange. The shady lawyer of the family is much likelier to be behind the accident, I guess. I suspected the uncle too, but now I doubt it, seeing how he reacted to the news that Hope is ok.
I wonder if Hope finally gets his redemption arc after all the horrible things he has done, especially since his bf is apparently a debtor of his boss as well. Probably if Save gets into the same situation as those Hope soullessly treats and shows no mercy could be a turning point for him. Or he probably dies too. In this episode it was somewhat hinted/foreshadowed. Also I am curious whether it becomes a conflict that Save works in the bank hard to help people in need and is good friend with Jack, Hope is the polar opposite - except when it comes to Save whom he has always protected from others.

Do I care about that?Nope. Crap is crap regqardless...
No, it is not just an opinion. But then a piece of advice for the future: avoid anything where you see Pink movie or Pinku Eiga because the story is in general deliberately absurd and secondary to the camp situations and over-emphatic NC scenes in literally every one of them (Just like with ItalIan giallos, for instance). That is one of the main characteristics of this specific unbderground semi-soft porn genre. That is what I have been trying to explain from the beginning.

You are even more clueless than I first thought. I said nothing about whether this is good or not. You specifically criticize elements of this pinku movie which are the essence of this sort of content. You went to a lending library and started to complain they have no deli counter with Argentine steak. If anything is crap then this is.

This content has already been sold to 4 international platforms and CCP cannot dictate to foreing platforms what to stream.
Don't be ridiculous and don't make unnecessary panic and hysteria.
