The funniest thing is that they are the same people who always moan for supposedly proper LGBT representation in BLs.
But when they are confronted with provocative, pushy, manipulative, promiscuous, not necessarily monogamous, sexually possessive, non PC characters who are not refraining themselves from some mischief, occasional cheating and boldly physical sexual approach without preliminary permission - all very common in the queer scene - they are having immediate meltdown for them not behaving as they imagined in their world of teenage girl fantasy moral .
Yep. I want to give an advice to people, stay away from the comments from the new teaser GagaOOLala was released,…
He kicked him in the foot once. But he was drunk and out of control from desperate jealousy. Still, it is one hit out of a sudden burst of emotion and not "physical abuse".
I think I’ll get sick and tired of explaining this to everyone. The “whole shooting the place up” fantasy…
As if we all did not imagine from time to time to shoot/beat to death people we hate just to take our anger on, yet we never do it irl. The hypocrisy is astounding.
Found all kind of weird criticism about this drama and character but the funny one I saw recently is when Someone…
"If Kiyoyi was physically smaller, I think may be I would have not felt, so much of toxicity with that character. Even though he is beautiful he is of the same size and equally strong. He is really hurting Hira with his antics. Why is Hira so blind with this man!!!"
You mean that one, I guess. There are serious problems with some people, for sure. Not to mention another clueless fuckwit who dares to write down that Kiyoi is hurting Hira when Hira is monologizing to the viewer from dawn till dusk that he is NOT hurt by Kiyoi and he likes doing what he is doing for/with him.
man...if this was a straight drama and kiyoi was a girl people would hate hira. this guy follwing this pretty…
What truly shocking is they simply just DON'T understand what is happening in this story. They have zero analytical and comprehension skills. If they are not spoonfed they cannot grasp a narrative when you have to use your brain.
Furthermore they are not capable of bearing the slightest of human flaws in queer characters. Whenever they make a mistake it is unforgettable to the eternity. The character should be purged.
Sometimes I really wonder how these people cope with everyday life. How sheltered, safe space do they need to survive the world out there?
If people watch the most darkest BL movies Japan has done, they may have a "heart attack", i mean this drama is…
Actually Hollywood has explored some of those issues quite long ago also. There is a classic movie from 1971, Summer of '42 in which a 15-year-old boy has an affair wth an adult married woman.
I just realized that in episode 3 when the guys were teasing that girl to confess to Hira and Kiyoi intervened…
There are loads of glances from Kiyoi at Hira. He is always staring him back when Hira does not see it. There are several occasions when he is surrounded by the guys or the fangirls tiptoing around him but he is just seeking Hira. These are one of those precious little details one has to look for and watch very carefully. The superficial obeserver is likely to miss them and hence comes to so false conclusion.
I didn't write any comments here but I want to share my thought and vent about how I like this so much..I see…
This rooting for Koyama is just as ridiculous as rooting for Bas against Teh in ITSAY and IPYTM. The same impertinent and entitled social justice warrior mentality when people do not like a character and they decide another one is better for the protagonist and do an imaginary matchmaking, regardless of how the characters feel, who they love, who they are happy with. Because they know better what is good for them. They don't give a shit that matching Hira with Koyama or matching Oh-aew with Bas are deeply incorrect and dishonest. Koyama and Bas deserve someone to whom they are the number ones.
It is the same mentality when your mother wanna tell you to date Z instead of X, because Z is so nice and rich, has a good job and satisfactory family background. And they just do not get it.
Atleast hira is not using him just because kyoma is nice to him like some people do because they like the attention…
I would not waste my time if I were you. He is clearly one of those who stuck on the surface and does not grasp an ounce of what is happening in this show.
Just because you don't like a fictional show that explores the themes you don't like, you'd put down all Japanese…
The age consent in Europe is genereally way under 18, in Italy it is down to 14, even though Call Me By Your Name takes place in the 1980s, so I genuinely think there's nothing wrong with that, especially nowadays that 14 old ones are actively practicing sex. But don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you. The comment you are responding to is an abomination. I don't know whether you are Japanese or not but I apologize on their behalf for this unbelievable offence.
For those wondering whether to watch this weekly or binge watch it when it is over:
1. With such a complex, twistly plotted, unsettling thriller - especially if the abundance of plot stays like this - 14 episodes may well be way too much to digest at once, and you may certainly miss several important little details.
2. With series like Manner of Death or this one keep guessing, making calculations and theories, analyzing each installment, trying to indentify the villain in between two episodes are parts of the fun. More entertaining this way.
What an intriguing, mesmerizing, unsettling mystery. The last time I felt this edge of the seat nervousness and excitement was Manner of Death. Gun and Off are excellent but Mond, First and Sing shine as well. I am breathless.
Gym time now, but after that... awwwwwww.
