okay i just rewatched ep 3 for like the 937th time (oops) & now i'm confused...the day that kiyoi lost the competition,…
Basically Hira has never told Kiyoi that he loves him as a man. He always tells him that he is the one and only for him, but never in a romantic way. He tells him that he is the only person towards whom he feels like that and he is basically not attracted to boys or girls either. Hira confesses that he jerked off at Kiyoi's picture but immediately after he swears it was once only and he felt uncomfortable that he disrespected his king. These are not what Kiyoi wants to hear. Kiyoi wants to hear that Hira is sexually attracted to men like him. He wants to hear that Hira loves him as a man and wants to be his bf instead of being his bootlicking servant who worships him from a far.
So it seems we gonna see the scene in flashback where Hira stands up to Kiyoi and himself and attacks the bullies. It was intentionally not shown back then only to include it when Kiyoi's POV comes. Very clever touch.
There are 6 eps in total. This was confirmed from when the drama started airing. This is not addressed at you,…
GagaOOLala tends not to display all the episodes' links of their shows in total on their platforms from the beginning. Paint with Love is currently up to 4 only, even though the series is gonna have 10 episodes.
I find it weird that majority of non-Japanese fans only have negative things to say about this series. When this…
I am a European guy and I tremendously enjoy this show, it is one of my favourites out of the ongoing BLs. And thankfully comments have been overwhelmingly positive here lately (even though mydramalist is infamous for its generally negative comments under just about everything).
Yep. Glad you got the full picture. This why people who read the novel or listened to the audio drama has a totally…
To be fair even for those - assuming they have elementary comprehension skills - who have not read the novel (me included) should be obvious by now, after watching episode 4 (if not much sooner, for me it's been obvious since episode 2 at least) that Kiyoi has been in love with Hira since day one and now he is madly jealous.
I didn`t initially wanted to comment on this, but gogo Gogu is right. Actually this is also revealed after their…
After what I have seen in mydramalist comment section I am not suprised at people's comprehension skills at all. History4, IPYTM, TharnType, Bite Me were and now Utsukushii Kare is probably the most astounding example for me where what some people are commenting is objectively not what is happening on the screen. Yet many of them just jump on bandwagons. They see the fecking 'toxic" buzzword and they feel they need to comply.

As a matter of fact Kiyoi's sexual orientation has been continuously hinted since episode 1, as he has been consistently neglecting and ignoring the neverending romantic advances coming from all the girls while his eyes always seek Hira and he seizes every opportunity to be with him.
Seems I'm in the minority by enjoying this. It lacks polish but I'm interested enough to see it through.I'm a…
Guy is not his supervisor. He is kind of his senior but not that much. They are assigned to a common project, he is a sort of team leader but that is different from being a boss. And the way they interact do not really have any kind of power inbalance either.
Btw I enjoy it as well. It is far from very good but for a first attempt at BL series from a clearly inexperienced but apparently talented cast and crew it is not bad at all. Plus the office romance is relatively unusual setting for BL and this one seems to take an admirably adult treatment about that as well as its subjects in general. That on its own is something to be appreciated. It is also refreshing to see BL protagonists who are good-looking in their plain ways instead of chiseled Ken dolls (not that anything is wrong with that).
Episode 2 was actually a considerable improvement. There are still several issues with subs and sound in particular, but direction and script were much better this time around and so was cinematography. Acting is moderately effective. And there was some welcome progress in character developments too.
Lol are we supposed to buy that they finally do not get the BL roles because they really fell in love and the leadership found that risky? In the Thai BL world where all the copuples are implied to be real ones? That is really the bottom of the barrel. This was a trainwreck with good skinship. It's relatively high rating indicates that the latter is all what the majority of BL fans care about.
