This is definitely not for everyone but if you ever wanna see what would happen if a BL went full Manga-style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTJ9P-S46sk I love this movie though, its just an experience. Be sure to read comments too.
Edit: OP deleted the images but you can still find them on twitter or weibo. They are from episode 5. There is…
I think I've seen those.. 2 pictures, 1 of Adachi and 1 of Kurosawa right? They didn't spoil anything though, just them standing in the office. Or mayby you meant different pictures. Anyway, I guess Japan is really strict about their copyright

Yeah nostalgic times with Takumi-kun and early 2000s. While those dramas are often a bit weird to rewatch they do have their place since they helped form Japanese BL as it is today. So I also look back fondly on it.
What I remember from old BLs... The piano music playing through emotional scenes, for some reason most of the main characters could play piano/violin too. Some characters look like they don't know what they're doing in a BL and others are just having good fun.
If Korea starts actually adapting their BL webtoons/manwhas its gonna be wild. I kinda got out of webtoons before the BL scene hit it big there but I know they produce a lot nowadays. Korea is way too conservative about BLs though and will often just do bromance like China except with less restriction about males kissing. That's how the guys are still getting couple of the year awards in Korea.
I found it because of a random YouTube recommend lol. I think the low marketing and popularity of the TV platform…
Youtube recs saving the day xD Yeah usually I'd expect to have found this cause I just keep an eye on BL releases in general. I think it may be because its so short?
Japanese BL/LGBTQ+ adaptations are so unique and refreshing. Although the characters are good-looking, they also…
Yeah I think Japan has always followed their own ways of making BL. For one they mostly use comics/manga as source material while other Asian countries mostly either do original stories or based on BL novels.
So you get this interesting type of BL product in Japan that is very much identifiable by its manga-features (like expressions they make). This can be a disadvantage as it can make the story seem too fake but it can also add to the fun of the story. The trick is to find a good mix of realism and manga-tropes, early Japanese BLs (Takumi-kun) mostly stuck to manga-tropes while nowadays the stories are done more naturally. This is also because BL manga authors do much more diverse stories in comparison to early 2000s. Anyway that's just my view on Japanese BL.
Hypothetically speaking, if there is no kissing scene (on the lips) at all in the entire drama, would you guys…
I wouldn't mind if there was no kissing scene. However, considering how most Japanese BL this year have included a kiss I do expect them to go through with at least one. It's just an expectation though and won't change my rating, they have plenty of other meaningful scenes anyway.
Well executed film in my opinion. Gets the story across well but can be a bit violent at times. Would recommend it, especially for the great acting of the leads but do realise that its a serious story and there are some heavy themes like abuse. The tension between the male leads is certainly there.
There are some cute moments but this drama is generally pretty unknown. I only found it after searching the vampire tag and its airing right now which should be peak popularity.
