CGI suits had to get used to them yes. But the characters are so interesting this time around!! I think they can do some really interesting stories with this. Hopefully they take that chance.
I have heard of someone that may attempt it but not sure they will do the whole thing or when they'll finish. So for now its still up for anyone to pick up.
Basically a very typical mainland Chinese BL. Anyone who isn't used to these sorts of endings and scenes from mainland China has been skipping the pre-2016 BLs China used to release before the ban. Yes this is pretty normal for mainland BLs. The trailer already hinted towards it with the more forceful approach of one of the male leads.
It isn't shocking to me that they still do these tropes because of the isolation of the BL genre there. But yeah I can see this being shocking to new BL fans who have grown to have different expectations. Overall the show didn't stand out much to me but like others mentioned at least its something again from mainland I guess.
Because this is a web series, it didn't air in China.
The global internet is not controlled by that government. Mainland China uses a firewall to block most international websites from usage by people within China. Then they heavily influence or own the sites that are allowed to be visited.
So this webdrama would not be allowed to be displayed on the few sites on the internet that are accessible to Chinese internet-users. But everywhere else is fine. So if a foreign company bought the Chinese webdrama and decided to stream it online for people outside of China then that's fine.
And also how creepy stalkers are... Also, there is no consent involved with that head pat. It was more like a…
Like others mentioned, J was pretending to sleep but knew fully well that S was approaching but not what intent he had. This kiss scene wouldn't be regarded as consensual as S never asked J if he was ok with it.
The kiss scene was still cute to me though but I fully acknowledge that it wasn't with full consent. Sometimes shows are like that and its up to the individual viewer to decide if this goes too far for them or not. And thats fine, everyone has their own limits.

'' If you ask me, all of you thirsty people who are eyeing these BL actors up and down as if they're candy should probably do a self-check and ask yourself if you have these actors consent to look at them or talk about them in that way.''
I get your point if you're talking about open behaviour towards the actors or in public. But if this is about looking at pictures of an actor online.. I think its difficult to judge fans for that considering the actor also makes money from selling model pictures and uses it for his own publicity ect..
If BL fans weren't allowed to even appreciate actors in that way then it wouldn't be much of an industry. In other words you likely wouldn't be able to even watch BL shows since the actors and the show-makers wouldn't earn nearly as much money. Actors in other genres have fans who do the exact same thing too.
Sometimes its people with good intention thinking that (for example) 7/10 is a good grade to give to a BL. Not…
Ohh reviews? You can rate a show without doing a review tho! I haven't reviewed this show either but already gave a rating. Some reviewers do read the comment section of a drama page and others just solely watch the show themselves and write the review without interacting with others. It differs.
One question, which I have to say has been fucking with my brain. How is this drama ranked at just 8.2, when we…
Sometimes its people with good intention thinking that (for example) 7/10 is a good grade to give to a BL. Not considering that the MDL rating system is basically very dependent on superhigh ratings to point out popularity.
