Nice first episode, cool vibe and has some nice aesthetic shots of the two guys. It's a lot of introduction (characters meeting and what happened to the lady) so I guess we will see how things develop.

Agreed, beginning of the show was bad but it got better and I enjoyed it in the end. I actually did drop the show but retried it after ep 12 and got hooked again.
So far no subbers have announced subbing this series yet...no official eng translations either :((
It was easier when it was a show involving Johnnys (jpop stuff) actors. I guess we can only hope the BL-bait scenes will attract attention of fansubbers.
But yeah I'm not letting myself get stopped by lack of subs. I'm gonna go raw for this show if needed.

BB has its charms but of course CM will always have a special place in my heart.
While BB hasn't finished yet its still only rated by less than 5000 people, usually with more people rating the show the rating goes down and also when the show has ended and people start making critical reviews. I personally don't mind the rating of other shows too much, popularity shows up in other ways like amount of viewers.
Anyway like you said its difficult to compare since they both go for very different vibes. There are things I liked about BB and things I liked about CM.
Liked the show, was slightly worried sometimes on what went on in the comment section. Its interesting to see how fans set up camp here. Very reminiscent of CQL times. I know the circumstances that led to it (some war against the terms toxic/problematic ect..) though but yeah you don't see these types of conversations on most JBL pages. Usually it was just accepted some fans like more dark stuff and some like wholesome stuff and left at that without further commentary. Anyway interesting dedication I guess
Concerning the characters Kiyoi was a cute tsundere and I liked Hira too. They have their faults but I don't mind that in BLs personally. They went a good route with it in the end. Overall nice experience, its a fun show to watch and would recommend. I would like to see a season 2.
Theres some jokes that won't land for everyone but overall it was pretty fun and I liked some of the references. Watch it primarily for the comedy or BL moments I'd suggest.
When I think about it, this is probably the kdrama with one of the most memorable OST for me. The Smile Again song is just so nice to hear at the ending. Like on some episode that ending song hits.
