Hey, I've been well...just developing a list of things I would like to do/achieve in 2014 and getting to work on it.

I'm giving dramas a break as well for a bit, I've just finished A Gentleman's Dignity and Five Fingers...both of which were awesome and highly addictive dramas.
Well with movies I mostly watch them on Netflix these days, I changed mine to the US version as it has a huge list of Korean, Japanese, Chinese and HK movies as well as Kdramas. But sometimes I would watch a movie online if it's not available via Netflix.

What kind of movies do you like? I can recommend some according to your taste.

So how are you finding uni and what's your major?

Hey!!! Sorry for the late reply as usual...I'm always late lol!
Well, it sounds like you have some good plans ahead. I'm sure you will have lots of fun on this new journey and I wish you all the best :)

Yeah, I've just not been myself to be honest...it's only natural to feel angry when your talent is being buried on this Earth and nothing seems to workout. But since I don't have the power to change the World, what I can do is change myself and do things differently. So yeah positive thinking from now on :D

Btw, how is Empress Ki like? I'm not into historical dramas but I may just watch it since I'm a huge fan of Jin Mo Joo and am seeing good reviews.

Hi Pavister, how are you?
Lol thanks! Yeah I enjoy watching movies a lot. What kind of movies do you like? I can compile a list for you according to your taste in movies.
Judging by your list however, everything is Korean....so I take it you are asking for Korean movies?

1200 miles north...so you must be in Alaska now? Sounds like a good plan, even I am looking to start from scratch this year and am looking to change almost everything including my lifestyle.
Oh I haven't been that busy tbh, I've just been dealing with major stress. It seems as if both of us are fed up with life right now lol!

Hi it's been a while, how have you been? Hows 2014 treating you so far?

I've just completed this show and absolutely loved it! What made this show even more exciting to watch was that I didn't know anything about it (I usually research a drama before deciding to watch) and just happened to play it simply because it's brand new on Netflix.
I was only familiar with Dong Gun Jang as he is one of the biggest Korean movie stars and he delivered a great performance here in AGD as well as Ha Neul Kim and the other 3 male friends.
The number one thing preventing me from giving this a 10/10 rating is that brat Im Meahri (Yoon Jin Yi) who pretty much ruins every scene. Hong Se Ra (Yoon Se Ah) was another annoying and wasted character, but otherwise it's a very enjoyable show.

Ignore the comment below me, because the person referring to this movie as not interesting or exciting...clearly does not have a clue as to what they are talking about and have missed out on one of the best Korean thrillers!

Although it's not your typical Korean revenge thriller like 'Oldboy' or 'I saw The Devil'(where you know exactly what to expect from the beginning), it still has it's own unique style and gets the viewer to think about situations and question things.
There is not a single dull moment throughout this movie thanks to the tension that builds up.
This is definitely one of the best and most classiest thrillers out there, so go ahead and watch it!

I dropped this a long time ago back when it was on netflix. but with this high rating maybe I'll give it another…
I too was planning to watch this on Netflix until it expired. Little did I know that it may well have been worth watching it because everybody keeps talking about this drama lol!

Hey Pretty! It's really nice to hear from you! Yes it's been a while, how are things with you? Wow! 16 hours a day?! I hope you've recovered well :)
I've been alright thanks, just looking for work right now as I have suddenly become unemployed and I am also waiting for this lousy year to end now as it has gone by so fast and it was a boring one for me...I mean I haven't really done anything this year lol!

Yes, it's always a problem when it comes to buying/renting property in London...total rip off! I have relatives in the US and Canada who have nice big houses and yet they cost a lot cheaper than the rubbish 3-4 bedroom houses here in UK, it's really unfair lol!

Well, I've been watching a lot movies lately via Netflix and sometimes online. I am still very slow with dramas tbh, but am currently watching Fashion 70's, That Winter The Wind Blows (from the makers of Padam Padam, but not as great) and have started Heartless City.

By the way, I managed to watch the movie you recommended - A Dirty Carvinal, it was fantastic! There were no boring parts and it had good flow right till the very end, very good movie.
A movie similar to that is New World...another excellent Korean movie!

What to watch next? I say go for Midas :D, It's very different from most dramas and gets very addictive with each episode. It's all about business, stocks, mergers & acquisitions, money obsession and greed...and it's so damn fun to watch! The sound track is beautiful as well and the cast is solid apart from No Min Woo who IMO cannot act lol!

Started watching for No Min Woo, but it just was so boring that I stopped at episode 7.. I would have kept watching,…
Lol! No Min Woo was the worst actor in this show and looked like a girl with all that make up on.
There was absolutely nothing boring about this show, it's just targeted towards a maturer audience and you have to understand the World of business, obsession with money and greed to understand what the show is about.
It deals with a lot of reality and is well worth watching till the end.

That's so true, I think Kim Sung Oh and SSH's friendship as well as the older mature actress are the ones who kept this show alive because they delivered strong performances or else a lot of people would have left this show a long time ago.
I couldn't stand the main female lead either and she is rightly being labeled as the worst Korean actress.
The other second male lead definitely ruined it as well especially after what SSH did for him. But hey, it's only a drama lol!

Let me know if you do decide to watch Cold Fish, it's very different and extremely raw...the kind of movie that puts you in a state of shock the more you watch it lol!

Enjoy your weekend! :D

Yeah I agree with you on that! The ending was totally unnecessary. But I guess on the bright side, we enjoyed the show and it was different from the usual melodrama stuff :)

Have you seen the drama 'When A Man Loves'? It's a good drama but controversial and angered a lot of people because of the lead actress, but Kim Sung Oh s superb throughout it! He easily delivers his best performance here and made a great team with Seung Heon Song.
I've seen The Man From Nowhere, it's one of my all time fav movies, it reminded me of his role in Sign as it involves killing girls lol!

I haven't seen Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney but I've seen Fish Story, I didn't like it much and got bored on most parts, but it was kinda hilarious and was different from most other movies. The song that saved the World was damn funny though - ''If my failure were a fish'' haha!

There is a good Japanese movie called 'Cold Fish', it's not comedy...but I would highly recommend it. It's a disturbing movie and quite bloody in some scenes but well worth watching and based on a true story.

Wow 2 hours was a long wait, but at least you managed to get inside in the end :)

OMG! You really missed out on Siro-A's performance, they were incredible! They were the last show and it's like as if they were performing magic with laser lights, never seen anything like it before.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes I shall check out a few J dramas to see how they compare with the Korean ones, but overall I don't plan to spend too much time on dramas as I prefer watching movies.

What did you think of the ending of Sign? Shocking right?

Yeah I agree that an effort could have been made to focus on the romance that was developing between Go Da Kyung and Dr. Yoon Ji Hoon. But, the fact that he actually started to fall for her is what made the ending stupid and pointless for me. Was it necessary for him to do that?
I mean surely a forensic examiner does not need to go to such lengths to seal a case? That's the main reason why I was unable to give it a 10/10 rating.

Yeah the prosecutor and detective played their parts well, but the guy seriously did not look like a professional detective though...he looked more like a kid running around with a back pack everywhere he goes lol!

One more thing, Kim Sung Oh is just brilliant! He came and changed the whole show and made it so exciting even though he came for like 2-3 eps. The guy deserves to be a main lead in a drama!
