I'm very frustrated by Kusanagi, but I'm choosing to focus on what she did right rather than how mad she makes me feel.

After watching many action dramas like this, I've realised that the fight is more interesting when the villains' abilities are comparable to the heroes' abilities.

Anyway, things I like about Kusanagi as a villainess (in no particular order):

1) She's not intimidated by working as a female boss in a male-dominated company.

2) She's very good at controlling information, such as hiding information from Q. She also helped split up Ji An's team, which delayed information getting from Uncle to Ji An. She at least trapped Uncle in a jungle! So even if he leaves the bunker, it will take him some time to escape the jungle.

3) She's multilingual and communicates with an international team.

4) She found their vulnerability (Pasin) and used him against Ji An and her team to infiltrate them. Doing so was more cost-effective for her company since they didn't have to work so hard to break into Ji An's base.

When I used to watch villains like this, I only felt frustration. But I've come to appreciate that a well-written villain can contribute to the hero's strength and character.

S2 is kinda frustrating for me because the villains feel a little too forced. Kusanagi's pyscho expression, random…
I'm curious to know how much of the drama is just following the book.

The random English is throwing me off lol
I'm learning Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Chinese. It's multilingual overload for me!

What I donโ€™t understand is if Pasin was in Thailandโ€ฆ they never thought to question how did he get there on…
Totally agree! If it looks too easy then it probably is.

For drama maybe a loose end or since episode 37 is extra and the main story already ended so they cannot complicated…
Wow, thanks. As someone who did not read the novel, I really appreciate this insight!

Title Blossoms of Power Spoiler
I'm curious to know what people who watched episode 37 thought of the ending.

The special episode focused on Hua Yong, Xi He, and their son rather than Hua Yong discovering the identity of his real father. Why do you think the director chose not to show Hua Yong reacting to this revelation? As a viewer, is that something you would have liked to have seen?

Title My Fiction Spoiler
im on the edge of my seat every episode. it's such a solid thriller, and it's a shame more people aren't watching…
Jdramas were among the first dramas I watched before Kdramas. That was back when we had Jdramas like Liar Game and N No Tame Ni. I don't watch Jdramas as much anymore, but I still check the new releases.

When I read the plot summary for My Fiction, it just felt different from a lot of Jdramas that had been coming out recently. I added My Fiction, Ten Strokes to You and Labyrinth of Hortensia and the Minotaur to my to watch list. Out of all of them, My Fiction is the drama I look forward to the most.

People don't understand why I am so excited by this Jdrama! At first, I thought it might be like The Truman Show or Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. The theory about clones also passed my mind. But I wonder if it will be like Forgotten, which is also a great Korean movie. Anyway, I just love guessing.

So they kill everyone else but keeps Q alive even when minhye clearly has time to kill her while she's unconscious??…
Yeah, I wish this was more like Game of Thrones where nobody is guaranteed plot armour ๐Ÿ˜‚.

and the worst part is that she has a conversation with the bitch director about how if you send them together…
Ever since I saw Q and Jeong Jiman fight together in that first episode, I wanted them to fight side-by-side together. Now, that might come true when Q finds out that her boss kept her brother's murder from her.

I dont have time to rewatch ep14 for you. Could you explain with examples what you mean by the "completely…
Yes, that helps! Thank you @ibisfeather and @DingDong.
When I saw that scene of him drawing in on her after she wakes up in the bed, I was so shocked. I knew he was flirty, but in that scene he was being really confrontational. I think even the ML says he was being irregular. I was just like, 'What are you doing!?!?'. His playfulness is what I liked about the character.

I'm sure someone has already addressed this in the comments, but I'm too scared of spoilers to go looking for the answer. So I'm hoping someone can help me. After episode 14, I've been so confused about the ML's character. In episode 14, it felt like his personality completely changed in a negative way, and he turned into all the other princes. I stopped understanding how he is different from Prince Lie who also follows the FL and keeps pressing her to marry when she doesn't want to. Am I missing something?

I hate horror or anything ghost, are the ghosts here tolerable? Jumpscare? I love this two leads but I hate scary…
If I had to use my own 'horror measurement scale', I'd say that you could eat your dinner in front of Spooky in Love, but maybe you cannot eat your dinner in front of The East Palace. I hope that helps.

I just realised at the end of the series that it was Kang Seong Jae all along who was driving his pursuit.

Each quest came with the decision to accept or reject the invitation, and he always chose to accept.

So even though it seemed like the game was in control, I think KSJ was in control of his dream the whole time.

If he hadn't wanted to succeed then I think he wouldn't have gotten very far.

There are many different beliefs about how to achieve success. This drama's belief seems to be that hard effort results in success.

Title Wu
Jia Hao: You have to leave within eight hours, otherwise, you will be stuck there and, eventually, devoured by it.

Me: Got it ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Jia Hao: Taixu. Also known as 'the Eternal Void.' It's job is to clean up life spirits that have been in the Life Spirit Realm for too long to maintain balance in the universe.

Me: Got it ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Jia Hao: If you don't bring Niran back in time, his spirit will be wiped away by Taixu as well.

Me: GOOTTT IT! ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

Jia Hao: That means his being will disappear for eternity.

Me: FFS ๐Ÿ’€.

Just a personal opinion: I really donโ€™t think itโ€™s very wise to keep someone who has feelings for you as a…
"They don't understand 'as a friend' no matter how many times you tell them, they always hear it as 'I have a chance'."

I had to come back to this comment because it made me think something, but I was struggling so much to articulate it.

I think this comment says a lot about Mind's character. Obviously, I find Mind annoying ๐Ÿ™„, but when I read this line, I pitied him for the first time, and for other characters like him, because he is so tied to this idea of Wayu and him. He can't imagine a world without Wayu and him.

And so, he doesn't see his own worth, and if someone were to really love him, he probably would not be able to recognise their love. It makes me think of that quote from The Perks of Being A Wallflower, "We accept the love, we think we deserve".

If I were Mind, I would be so frustrated at myself for having such low self-respect. That's why, when Mind breaks down at the end of that scene in the restaurant, I see a guy who can't love himself and recognise his own self-worth, trapped in this spiral of what he *thinks* is happiness.

my guess is that chef is a 6 star chef. Seok Ho is the most useless leader ever. I wonder how he even got that…
I am so disappointed in Seok Ho. I really wanted to like him (because I like Lee Sang Yi ๐Ÿ˜), but I feel like he had so many opportunities to support his team and always chose to believe the opposing side!
