I think you're right that C-drama fans have been spoiled by neon green flag male leads like Sang Yan and the male lead from The Best Thing, etc. They were all portrayed as the perfect men who will do anything for the female lead and expect nothing in return. They know exactly what to say and rarely make mistakes.

Yes, it's up for interpretation. Plenty of us have seen character development for both leads. If you check back on the flashbacks, you can see how they have grown and how they are trying to communicate better. Her telling him what she wants and likes is a starting point, because she doesn't even do that before, and keeps everything to herself. There will also always be a power imbalance since he is her boss.

I think it's a realistic portrayal of the characters, and that was the plot of the drama; if you take that away, you have a completely different storyline.

Isn't that character development? She said she likes it when he compliments or praises her, and he tries. He does listen to her words, so when she thanks him for being nice and for a peaceful trip, he will keep that in mind. I'm not sure what is wrong with that.

The drama version of Luke is a huge improvement from the novel, but they can't remove all his flaws, or else there won't be that big breakup, which drives the plot of the novel. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for

It was worse in the novel because it was obvious she should have gotten the promotion. I don't think her outrage is quite as justifiable in the drama, since her rival has equal experience and she failed to get the promotion. I'm curious to see how the drama will handle it, up to the point where she thinks he gave her the lowest score.

Yes me too. I would have been bored too if that was their vibe for the whole relationship. We get to appreciate this episode more because of the ups and downs of their relationship before.

I think they already changed her age. They said she was sent from the headquarter so she must be experienced. The novel didn't make sense with a 22 yrs old new graduate (with background) completing with Flora who has 6 yrs experience.

Oh right I forgot about that but they changed her age, which makes sense if she was going to compete for the position. I think she was supposed to be 22 in the novel and Flora was always jealous asking Luke if he prefers a 22 yrs old or her at 28 yrs.

Yes I hate it when the actors need to do cp promos and act like they are into each other outside of the drama. This just adds fuel to the delulu fans. I feel for those who are in a relationship or are married.

Regardless of how much you trust your partner, it can't be good for them to see their significant other being close and holding hands with someone else, not in a drama setting.

I recommend the YPC version. it was cute with the AI animate. I tried the LMR version and I didn't really like it. It was too much about the ML's family, and not enough romance, barely any kisses.

Love this! I was so tired of all the Red flag comments. We all know they are flawed people, but the comments to justify who is the bigger red flag were too much.

I really don't get this thing about everyone calling the leads Red Flags. Having poor communication skills or miscommunication are NOT red flag characteristics. Check google to find out the meaning of red flag.
