It did happen in the novel at the 4 year mark but the only difference was in the novel it was a FWB relationship at 4 years and she wanted them to be in a dating relationship and he rejected her. With drama, it was already established they were dating early on, it didn't make sense so they have changed the conversation a bit. I like the drama version.

They are not red flags. It was just miscommunication. Doesn't mean they are horrible people. Red Flag usually mean they are controlling, gaslighting and manipulation. There is none of that here.

That's not the context there. This was regarding her job and jumping ship to go with Alex, as in her SALARY (cheap), not that she was easy and easy to sleep with. BIG DIFFERENCE. Alex wasn't even interested in her sexually.
