We are not talking about other dramas but if this SML is who you considered an ideal human being, then I have nothing more to say about this. The ML being a psycho killer was not an afterthought. Most of us saw it a mile away, hence the thrill/mystery was gone.

I understand exactly what you're trying to say and this SML did not fit with your narrative. If you say this in another drama where the SML was actually a decent guy, then I won't say anything but to put him in that category, that's where I have an issue with it.

I just watched ep 15-17 and Le and Mai only had one scene together. I seriously don't know what they were thinking with all those unnecessary scenes with the in-laws which add nothing to the story. I sort of ff or tuned them out. Support casts are usually there to support the main leads. In the last 5 episodes, I feel like the in-laws were the main leads. If on the last ep, the main leads don't have at least 50% of the airing time, the most i can rate this is an 8 as much as I enjoyed both lead couples.

Jun Le's dad reminded me of my dad. We had a family restaurant growing up as well and he reminded me so much of him. Even his personality.

Agree. There is no love triangle in this drama at all. The 2ML is not really that into the FL. If he was, he would have confessed in the 8 years the main leads were apart. He was more obsessed with screwing the ML over.

There was a 2FL who was into the ML as well but she was murdered by the 'decent, ideal human being' known as the 2ML. This is the first time I've heard someone refer to a serial killer as decent human being.

Did you even watch the drama? Because this statement - SMLs are always attractive, decent, or portrayed as ideal human beings for the FL definitely did not apply to this drama. The SML is a psycho and creepy as hell. The FL did not cross any line at all with the SML so I do not know what the heck you've been watching

It's different in every country and I have no idea about China. They are not going to show all the cases they are on, just the one that is important to this drama. It was mentioned that he went on alot of high risk jobs during those 8 years. And I think he's more like a leader of the team so might have a different meaning than 'Captain'. Might be just a translation thing.

Wow you don't see that often that Douban score is higher than MDL. MDL is usually inflated compare to other ratings.

I just completed it. I won't list the negative since there are plenty in the comments. Pros - 1 whole episode to wrap up everything and no lose ends, with lots of skinships and kisses. Although I don't buy it that the dad is sorry and he should get a worse ending. 2, no unnecessary death - I was expecting one of the supporting cops to die. 3 The FL didn't become an idiot and forgive the 2ML, also the 2ML didn't die saving the FL and redeem himself (pet peeve of mine) and bonus points she didn't cry for him but told him she hated his guts and he's disgusting piece of shit.

What I find more unbelievable is JCY knowing WP's target is him, who would he go after to get to him? First thing I would think of his girlfriend and mother. He should be prepared and send some protection for them.

I just didn't expect the crime investigation unit to not carry guns. I guess I was so used to bullets flying in other police crime dramas.

Did I miss something? How come the police never carry guns or use guns in this drama?

She is an anesthesiologist, not a ER doctor. Why is treating patients with wound or head injury? Don't they have doctors for that in the hospital?

Given the type of person he is, I'm surprised he let his dad get away with abusing him all those years. I thought that as soon as he's able to, his dad would be the first on the list for him to get revenge on or get rid of.

Agree with this! I was just thinking if Wen Peng was the protagonist in the drama, his story would have turned out alot different. I think many MLs have this type of storyline where he was abused or mistreated in childhood but raise against all odds to be a successful man and gets the girl.

if the villains are any smarter, it won't end at ep 36 because they dumbed the police force and make them weaker so the villains can get away during all those chase scenes.

Yes they got back together in the middle. I didn't like the FL's attitude in the beginning, keeping everything inside and trying to handle everything on her own but after they got back together, she became more open and doesn't keep the ML in the dark.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but when it first came out she was sick, it seems like everyone was pointed out the cause was her weight and everyone was focusing and speculating on it. So glad she made the statement to clarify her physical and mental health so people can stop gossiping about it.

Is it really necessary to put that picture of the scale here? Some petty/insensitive people will just focus on her weight as usual.
