haha no worries. IMO, Wang kai Mu version definitely worth watching, the rest not so much, I couldn't complete them.

Fair enough. But when you see them as a couple too often, and they are pair with someone else, you feel like they are cheating and always comparing lol

Yes! Wang Kaimu never disappoint with his kissing scenes.
Yup for #5, Manman was a mean girl and I don't think she ended up being friends with the FL.

I haven't watched all but my top 3 are 8, 2 and 5 in that order, in terms of the visuals of the main leads and the personality of the FL. 5 loses some points for making Manman, a mean girl and the Godmother was unlikeable too.

I have no issue with his looks/style here but the kisses were just cringe. Especially after watching some of the other versions with HOT kisses.

The director must have liked the 2nd ML in this one. He made him so macho whereas, in all the other versions he was a coward.

Yes even though the romance was just a small part of it, it was so impactful. I love WH declaration of love. It's so sincere and not over the top like so many other dramas.

The 6 version was bad. I can't believe there were a roomful of people (including the godmother) watching the bad guy sexually assaulting the FL in the living room and no one stop it. Left a very bad taste in my mouth, especially when the FL just let it go. Worst FL of all the versions I've watched.

I really like this pairing too! I don't think Ou Hao has done much romance before. I think he mentioned on one of his interview he was always playing soldier or police so it was really refreshing to see and he did such an amazing job for his first main romance.

This one was nearly 5 hours so a bit longer than the usual vertical dramas but it was done so well due to the longer runtime. One of the best vertical I've watched. Too bad it's not widely available in youtube.

You can't really compare this to Minglan which has over 60+ episodes. They can take their time, whereas here, there are only a few episodes left so it's understandable, people are anxious.

No one is normalizing anything but it does happen in reality when older men dates women half their age, likewise with older women and younger men. No one is saying this is the norm.
