I can sort of understand why she ran away at that time. She was a teenager and can't deal with all those losses emotionally but now that she has grown up and matured, I can't understand her reason to not get in touch in all that time.

He took care of the funeral and make sure the family got their compensation because he knows HZ will worry about them. He then took care of his business in Beijing, so he can fully be there for her when he goes back. He asked HK to let him know immediately if anything happens in the meantime. So what if he rushes back to see her? then what? She won't even tell anyone about her illness. This is not an idol romance drama where love cures everything.

I guess that's the type of person she is. She thinks about others' needs before herself, especially people she care about. Yes all the characters have flaws. I think that's what makes it so much more realistic. One of the best drama I've seen this year!
