I really like Zhou Ye's in this. This is such a heartwarming movie, funny and sad at the same time. Definitely worth the time to check this out.

So for cops who goes undercover for years, I wonder if they get a promotion after they have been reinstated? Seems hard work to risk your life for years and not get some reward/benefits.

I don't think anyone thinks Liu Yuning is drop dead gorgeous. His singing is his most popular attribute I would say. When AJTL was airing everyone was saying he was not on the same level of attractiveness as LSS so not sure where you got that. I think AJTL did well because it was a great drama and it has romance.

Romance is only a small part of the drama, hence slight romance on the tag. If you're only watching for that then you might be disappointed. But what there is, is so good but you would have to wait until last 5 episodes.

I went to check out the Thai version page and was surprised by the high rating 8.3. I have never watched Thai drama but I guess people who like Thai Lakorn have different expectations from mainstream Romcom. Reading the comments - there was cheating, redflag ML, doormat FL which are usually a guaranteed 7ish rating. Now debating whether to watch this Chinese version...

I don't think there is a need for season 2 for Northward. Everything wrapped up nicely. It would be nice to have a special episode though for the scenes that were cut.
