I hope the same thing that happened to Cherry Magic doesnt happen to this.
That depends on th e contract between GMMTV and TV Asahi, but I don't think there'll be any problems. They have shown Japanese and Korean adaptations on YouTube. What happened with Cherry Magic was an accident.
It took a while for me to figure out what's happening, but somehow, I'm loving the whole drama within the entertainment industry storyline. Some people may find it silly for the two actresses to be feuding over a stylist, but it's actually quite common lol. While I'm still not sure how the dream thing fits into all this, I find this series pretty interesting.
Yeah.... about that... I'm afraid it's not gonna happen. He's lucky he even has a body right now.
Yup. Basically, Joe died when he went over that cliff, but his soul somehow found its way to a comatose patient three years later. If they're following everything in the novel, then his body would be found later in the series.
i genuinely do not understand the people in this comment section, i understand having your own opinions but i…
This isn't a bad series, but it didn't have a good start. I'd say the series starts to get better at around episode 5 or 6, but sadly, that's more than halfway through the series. Like you said, it isn't perfect, but it has some good things. Had they done a better job explaining the rules of the parallel worlds in the beginning, this definitely would've been a top-notch series.
On the other hand, I see improvement in Max and Nat's acting, so that's something good from this series.
Why isn't there a preview at the end of each episode?😔
I think the way Kongthup does it is that they'd upload a reaction video with the cast, followed by BTS, and usually upload the preview (or TV spot, as they called it) of the next episode on Monday/Tuesday.
Annnnnddddd my heart is completely shattered... Poor Tai. I get the need for Kram to go back to his world. Still, to lose Kram a second time, can't imagine how devastating that is for Tai. :(
Agreed. They should definitely do more comedy because they're hilarious IRL. Their YT series EarthMix Space is…
EMS is hilarious. I've rewatched both seasons twice and it never gets old. It's a shame that Cupid's Last Wish didn't get as much attention as ATOTS and MLC because it really showcased their comedy acting skills. That car scene is still one of my favorites.
this is more of succession than pll but much darker and grittier, i'd say p.s. i hate you is the pll of lakorn…
GMMTV is geared more towards a younger audience, so I doubt the regular lakorn formula would appeal with that particular demographic. Maybe something along the line of The War of Flowers, but with less focus on family drama and more on the mystery/suspense.
I have nothing against the actors, but I am so sick of seeing gmmtv turning grown men into literal BABIES. Like…
You obviously haven't watched the original version, and the HK version is pretty over-the-top, too. This? This is quite tamed compared with the other two lol.
So it's basically Pretty Little Liars with a combination of Succession followed by elements of Thai lakorn. Given the novel is written by the same author who wrote The Jungle, I guess we're in for one helluva family reunion.
It took a while for me to get used to the concept, since Yoshika Kotaro, who plays the original ossan, was in his mid to late 50's when the first season came out, but he looked older than his age. Yet, in the Hong Kong adaptation, Kenny Wong, who was also in his late 50's when he shot the series, seemed more appealing to viewers because he looked very young and fit for an "ossan" lol. However, I know the actor follows a strict diet and fitness routine, so I guess it's less about age, and more about how you take care of yourself as you age.
'Jap' became a racial slur after the attack on Pearl Harbor during WWII and anti-Japanese seniment spread in the US. It's also widely used during the time when Japanese-Americans were interned in concentration camps in the US, which is why the Japanese finds the term offensive. It's basically the N-word, but targeted against Japanese. Nobody would use 'Jap' as an abbreviation unless you wanna be called a racist or xenophobe. If you have to use abbreviation, use 'JP' or 'JPN.'
On the other hand, I see improvement in Max and Nat's acting, so that's something good from this series.
Hope we get a happy ending in the finale.
