I don't mean to beat a dead horse but this is exactly why this drama doesn't work as a women centric story written…
I get where you are coming from. It feels like the screenwriter doesnât know what to do and it is just chaotic. I mean it is 5 couples, but still. It couldâve been done better (solely my own inexperienced opinion).

I thought that too, but itâs not like we are delving into the other sisters much, like all the attention is given to the ML and his younger brother. Itâs not like they are introducing the couples right now, our focus is just the FL and ML so it doesnât make sense that we spend so much time looking at the scholars instead of the ML and FL. 8 episodes in and the FL and ML are yet to have a heart to heart, and that is considering we have 4 more couples to go. They better pick up the pace. (Plus this drama is like 50mins/ ep, it is lengthy and yet it is hardly sticking together, but I still like it so thatâs that)
Donât want to be rude but is Kangning mute? Like in every episode she barely has like 2 lines. I only see her speak when she is proposing a plan or in front of an audience. I never see her talking about anything other than business. Itâs like I never get to hear her perspective of things. Lu You Xiao is an amazing actress and she can convey most of her thoughts with expressions only, but I still need to hear her thoughts on everything thatâs been going on. How did she feel when her wedding broke. How did she feel when she saw him again. How did she feel about the scholars next door. Like nothing. I know more about the 4th daughterâs perspective than hers. This show is not from the MLâs pov then why is the FLs pov as scarce as diamonds?

I see, they did indicate that but did not explicitly show that. They did say that the 4th and 5th daughters are young, but still the marriage did just break. Isnât it too early for them to be doing âliterary matchmakingâ? Like from the flâs side we get no emotion. Itâs like she doesnât care. We didnât see her happy, crying or even angry. All she did was put the things in the wardrobe and move onâŠ? She isnât stoic and I realise she has responsibilities of running the business m but at least we couldâve seen her holding that golden doll at night. Give me something to tell that she cares.
This is the first time I told the ML to leave the FL because she is not worth it. I know that the MLâs mother is evil, but she knows the ML is not like that, and yet she is trying to get the scholars in. I am mad at her. The writers are just unnecessarily pulling this. There are 5 sisters and yet somehow, the only one up and out for marriage is the 3rd daughter. Shouldnât the oldest sister be the one looking for prosepects? I just donât get why the 3rd daughterâŠ

I know that was only for money, but I need something more out of the FL. She is putting a brave front for her family, I get that, but I still need to know her thoughts on everything. Didnât the FL like the ML? Shouldnât she ask for time like her eldest sister? Itâs like she is doing everything for her family. I need more of HER thoughts, HER feelings. The ML proposed and she just agreed. That time she seemed happy and as if in love but now, we donât see her the slightest bit sad. It is like she closed her feeling with the golden doll. I need something to know she cares. Now all we see is the MLs continuous pitching while all she does is sitâŠ? At least bring up his name somewhere. You need to tell me whether you like him or not. Itâs like I am trying to guess. She is the quietest one so far.}
So basically Kangning and Chaian are the misunderstanding couple. They will have a rocky ride. But I guess we have 4 more couples to go. It is too early to judge. I personally love the humour.
This is such a good drama but I must say the misunderstanding at ep6 did annoy me, but then again what was she supposed to say? âYour mom disrespected my mother, my family, my sister, took advantage of my family!â But that would just sow discord between the mother and son she could not possibly marry him with that kind of mother, Chai An couldnât forever be with her, but yet he had the right to know. This time I am with Chai An. He deserved to know. (Plus it is too early for them to get married lol)
The drama just started and people are already hating it (your view is yours though, whatever you feel, you rule). Tbh this is the first time the misunderstanding didnât bother me. It makes sense. She only knows him as her rival and nothing else, so you canât expect her to find the idea of him taking revenge by setting her up far-fetched. It also makes sense that she didnât talk about what happened to her sister (heck no one will). She only sees him as an arrogant guy who wants to ruin her life (aka business). And since she thinks he wants to destroy her life and family, he went too far isnât actually THAT unrealistic.The misunderstanding isnât a dumb one like when the lovers clearly forget there is something known as âcommunicationâ. Plus I feel like it will all be resolved in the next episode. Oh and also note that the main couple hasnât had a single real talk yet, like nothing more than 2 sentences. Give them time.
Han Ji Min is such an amazing actress. Like I knew it but my belief was reaffirmed with the kiss at the end. I never imagined that a k-drama kiss could have so much emotion. The d@mn passion đ€đ€. This will lowkey ruin the next few dramas for me
Rather random but a happy ending. So Iâm not gonna complain, but I just wish that they wouldâve showed us all the characters Fu ling, Chong Zhao, Tian Hou, Cang Shan, The Old Turtle, Mu Jiu, and all together and happy in their lives. Of course I am not complaining about the marriage, but if they already said that they would come back, might as well show them.
