I'm stuck at ep 20 ( typical midway dragging for me). I'm not interested in Xiao Se's fight with the princes, and everyone else just protecting him. Is it getting better again in some more episodes? Like some interesting events of other characters? (I know, there's less Wuxin, but anything else?) I put it on hold for now.

Why bother if there have been cuts, of course there will be cuts in every drama. I will just watch the final product and if I like it, that's good enough. I'm a bit tired of so many complaining about cuts here and there in every drama lately.

I've watched more than halv of the series. And I couldn't care less about Xiao Se. I would have liked it more if it was about emotional Wuxin or chivalrous Lei Wujie.

This one seems to have a similar theme. But I hope the story will be something new. I quite like this actor, so hopefully we get a good story. Someone knows how it is related to Song of the Moon? (I dropped it midways, I'm hoping here for something better.

That's exactly what I like. I have dropped too many dramas because of that damsel in distress type of female character.

It's sad that many wuxia have poorly written female characters, they are just like some sort of accessories. I wished they could create a female character as intresting as the male characters, and just skipped romance.

This is fantasy, not history. With gods and immortals and strong women. Virginity is not an issue. Even in historical cdrama you see men bying off their lover from a brothel, and not just as a concubine.

It seems that if you're not a traffic star your show gets either shelved or cut. I wouldn't mind the cuts, if they were well done. Cut things that are irrelevant for the story.

The story is a bit weird. Bai Lu is an intelligent woman. She and the emperor don't believe in astrology. But Bai Lu still wants to work in the astrology department. It doesn't make sense.

I've just started this, but the opening and ending themes are so beautiful. I never skip them...

Why do I think they look too much alike? I have a hard time telling them apart. I would have wished for more differencies in their appeareance.
