Because he's acting so well. I never watch any his previous work but he definitely do good job for this one. At least that's imo! I don't hate his character although I creeped out by him indeed. At least he do have brain, executed his schemes well, and behave like middle age man
If looking at the pure fiction, it's not that boring, although I skipped half of the scenes π But if I have to consider the historical value over it, this drama rather questionable
