If I remembered it correctly, I read somewhere that she was Yin Guo’s half sister and she used to have a crush…
Older sister from a different parent? They're a mixed family. Only YG is from the current father AND mother in the family. Mixed families often seem to have problems between half-siblings.
I wonder what exactly is LYY's brother's age? LYY said he was 6 years younger so he is supposedly YG's age. But…
in the novel the child is supposed to be 2 years old. The brother married about 1 year before the altercation at the graveyard, which would make him 22. It is of course possible, he and his wife already had their child before that time and they just married later.
Nothing to explain, everything is goodthey elapsed in time, one of themwas literally one and half... How did you…
I think his brother married at 21, because there is a time jump of 1.5 years. And who's to say his brother and wife didn't already have the child before marriage? And simply decided to marry later (or finally had the money to marry later)?
In the novel the girl is supposed to be about 2 years old.
Yes, she was showing her immaturity in that scene. Made me a bit angry.
Well, to be fair, it is her first relationship and she's what... 23 by then? She was an insecure girl from the get-go, and that's not something that changes easily, especially with such a family. She's trying to defend him against her family, which isn't an easy thing to do. And she was confronted with the fact that her defending him, without being able to tell them he's her boyfriend didn't work and seem to have the opposite effect. Which of course doesn't help :)
I was waiting for this conflict since I read it in the novel. what’s a romance drama without some obstacles…
I felt the same about YG's mother. I mean, (almost) 15 years is quite a long time to hold a grudge against someone who was back then barely a teenager (let's face it, 13 years old is barely a teenager...) SHE was the adult.
But maybe that's just my Western POV...
And YG's sister.... she's a real piece of work.
Like you I'm very much looking forward to the reunion. Of course it will be less.... spicy (?) than in the novel, cause we can't have that on Chinese TV, but still.... The reunion should be good :)
I felt so bad for LYY when Yin Guo walked away just as he found the fruit he bought her. I know she didn't know…
Yeah, I agree. I mean, it's been more than 10 years..... Can't people let bygones be bygones? I also do NOT understand (both from the novel and the drama) why the sister seems to have a much bigger problem with the whole issue than YG's mother. I mean, she's, if I'm correct, about 5 years older than YG, which makes her the same age as LYY. Also, sure, LYY apparently hurt Meng Xiao Dong, but those two seem to have worked it out and got over it, even before LYY retirement. So why is YG's sister so bad about it?

I had the same feeling about the sister!
I guess it's all about the status of the referees. YG's mother was a referee at the time. And it's because LYY refused to apologize or explain. I do agree it's all a bit overdone, also in the novel, as far as I'm concerned.
For novel readers,is this the first love or relationship of both yg and lyy and is there any breakup or misunderstanding…
For both it's the first love. There will be a misunderstanding, but it's cleared quite quickly. No love triangle, thankfully. The family will eventually agree. The half-sister..... Well, what can I say? She's.... mean.
Unless you think you got all the details, watch again. That is what I am doing and picking up on little details…
Okay, I found the passage I was looking for: Her family is a restructured family. One brother and one sister were brought by their parents, but she was the only one who was born to them. My elder brother and sister are children of two divorced families when they were teenagers.
This is from the English translation on MTL. I'm not sure how accurate this is. The English translation mixes up Point of views, so one moment it's 3rd person YG and the next it's 1st person YG and things like that. If I understand it correctly this is YG essentially saying she has an older brother and an older sister. I think YG is the only child from both her father AND her mother. Her half-brother and half-sister are possibly from either parent with another parent, if I understand it correctly.

I wouldn't mind :D :D
And I agree. The sister isn't nice. Perhaps she feels she's better than YG because she's older?
