I watched the part in ep 18 when LYY walked by the table holding is niece and the sister turned round and looked…
I was thinking this had more to do with her remembering LYY apparently hitting MXD with a brick and him now showing up. Because that is what she is going on about in the car.
I felt the same about YG's mother. I mean, (almost) 15 years is quite a long time to hold a grudge against someone…
Thank you for sharing your experiences! Like I said, indeed probably my Western POV :) I feel it's important to learn about other cultures, so thank you for giving me insights in the Asian culture. I truly appreciate that :)
Can you tell us how a young man during his first love or just in love act normally when intimate with his GF please…
It is odd behaviour, indeed. I agree on that. It surprises and annoys me always when I see that happening in real life. But seeing how often I see it happening in real life, it kinda doesn't surprise me anymore when I see it happening in a series. It feels like it actually depicts the current modern day society pretty accurately.
This is China ladies and gents, not Hollywood, we should be lucky we are getting some kiss scenes that are not…
You're absolutely right. The book scenes wouldn't have gone through censorship :D What is interesting, though, is that apparently some scenes were actually filmed a bit.... steamier? (I've also seen that from other series :D )
Am I weird for not finding it romantic at all to get money or a bank card as a gift? And although I enjoy the…
Actually I think it was a very good gesture: 1. It shows their trust in each other. LYY shows his vulnerability in a way he can't show to anyone else. Life has been hard on him, also financially. He doesn't want to hide that from YG, and he also shows her he's working hard on becoming financially stable. YG shows him that she'll support him early on. 2. When people receive their first paycheck (not being the paychecks you receive as a teenager/student for having a sidejob next to your study) is often either given to parents, or put on a savings bank account. 3. LYY has big plans for the future, after all, he wants to open a chain of billiard rooms. And to a certain extent YG knows that. The fact that he gives her his first paycheck, the prize money he won since he made his comeback, tells a LOT about him. He knows she has his back.
We're having a wonderful series and that is what matters :D
