At the end of ep 50 lanzhan and weiying separated and took different path weiying want explore the world, but…
Drama ending: they made a final bait-and-switch and had them separate for a bit. Then WWX is playing the flute one day near Cloud Recesses and LWJ calls out his name. When WWX is turning to the man calling his name, you see that smile - that's his lovey-dovey smile, reserved only for LWJ.
Novel ending: they never separated and actually the final scene is a papapa scene, LOL. WWX provokes LWJ into a kiss then things... happen. That's where the infamous "everyday means everyday" quote stems from :D
(Do read the novel if you liked the story, it's very good. And it includes all the scenes the censorship made them remove).
In the drama, the reason for the separation was that WWX is still pretty much a pariah (since he's doing demonic cultivation) among the "orthodox" sects, and LWJ just got promoted to become the leader of the sects in place of Jin GuangYao / Meng Yao. That is, he would kind of find a way to fill the gap instead of letting anyone else *cough* Nie HuaiSang *cough* take that position. So they couldn't stay together THEN. But they get back together anyway.
Hahaha, Jin Ling and the Lan Clan juniors start going on night hunts for monsters WITH WEN NING LOL, so Jiang Cheng is VERY much fuming because of it. But he doesn't put a stop to it either. He knows what's right and wrong and it's his manner of redeeming past mistakes. And yeah, don't worry... most of the time, it's WWX taking them on adventures, LOL.
(Try reading the extras - I'd recommend From Dusk till Dawn, where WWX has a talk with LWJ about the juniors and Jin Ling's night hunting prowess LOL). Also be warned all the extras are NSFW 18+ LOL.
I just want to say here dont blame me... You should come to watch with us BFTB guys. This is a balm for our broken…
I really did try it, didn't make it past the first ep. But I like Neo Hu, maybe I'll try again some other time. (Definitely will wait for the end though, at least. I mean, burned once, shame on me... burned twice... Never trusting Youku again, LOL).
If this drama change name to other name beside word nirvana than the rate would drop so much. I think buddhism…
The Chinese title translated as "The LangYa Rankings" and it's still very much appreciated in its home country. It's not the title that does it. This is really a good drama.
Be happy it's just mouth blood spitting. In xianxia, the trope is actually they'd bleed from ALL head orifices…
Heads up: my tastes in drama (and books) go like this: character's progress>>>plot>soundtrack>special effects (if necessary)>production (everything else)> what's left.
So I'll rate high if I like how the character changes / acts according to their own persona (and it's shown, not told, I don't like directors to lead me by the hand and explain everything, LOL, I want to see for myself). A good plot and a good OST are also great. But I fall for the charas, not the action.
Not all dramas are for everybody. There are some I THINK I might enjoy - but don't, and some that come as total surprises. Oh No! Here Comes Trouble is one of them - that's one of the best short dramas I've ever watched - I highly recommend it :)
Lucky you for speaking Mandarin and Cantonese, I have to rely on TLs, LOL, and some of them can be hit or miss (basically everything MangoTV put out hahaha.)
Kdramas are also hit or miss... And now that Western streamers got into the pie, the things I've liked about kdramas in the past have been changing, and IMHO, not for the good. Luckily China has started putting out better dramas than before consistently (not all are great, but plenty of them are very good) and so I can move on, if needed :D

Bai Lu is my favourite Chinese actress (of the younger generation). But I think she looks way prettier in real life than in any of her dramas (that I've seen, modern ones included). I like Sun ZhenNi's feistiness, too,
But I have to admit, it's LYX's eyes that drew me in - that first scene in the snow in ep 1 when YXW taunts TTJ into imagining he's choking her, and he raises his eyes at her with that murderous look. The best scene of the whole series for me. (That and basically all the battles :D)
I haven't seen One and Only and its companion drama, the first one ends in tragedy right? It feels like cheating to get reincarnated in modern times and start all over, LOL. (When the Korean Moon Lovers didn't go to that second part in the end I quite liked it, but most people seem to have expected that part, based in the Chinese original drama). I guess I'm a contrarian like that :D

It sets a few things for the later parts, it's necessary. But also, costumes. And the most gorgeous series of battle scenes seen in xianxia dramas ever. It's worth it.
Is it just me? I'm getting really annoyed with all the spitting blood scenes, and I'm only 13 episodes in.
Be happy it's just mouth blood spitting. In xianxia, the trope is actually they'd bleed from ALL head orifices (qiqiao - two ears, two eyes, two nostrils, mouth). Thank whomever decided too much is too much LOL and restricted it to mouth blood spitting. In novels, they're not so prudish about it :D
That awkward moment a veteran actor receives an award for promoting culture but I've only seen him as Ragaz in The Arthdal Chronicles (he MADE ME WATCH IT though) and barely recognized him in Vagabond. Congratulations!
Trouble is, it probably WAS released but it's just the BGM and YouTube people don't find them interesting to share T_T
I found a few sites (in Chinese) with the WHOLE OST, including BGM, but I've no idea how to buy it or download it, so it's hopeless until someone figures out a way, LOL.
It's not the same song :') I heard that theme in the drama, but I haven't found it in the BGM yet. They've played it before, not just in the trailer to 39, but maybe it wasn't released yet (there are a few more still unreleased).

This makes me sad. T_T

If so, @Lei posted it yesterday...

Quite a few of the BGM themes are here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuMjk3nHweo&list=OLAK5uy_kjn0LqIiHjWwSdSemW5Q8UXL4YmYf9d3g&index=6
But I don't think that one is in it. Maybe it was part of the instrumentals for the songs, not part of the BGM?...
A complete MTL (atrocious, don't use it) exists. https://www.mtlnovel.com/black-moonlight-holds-the-be-script/
The final chapters with the HE (after the drama's end) are posted above in the discussions.
