It's bittersweet.

All the arcs of TTEOTM made sense and the end is fitting. I won't compare with other dramas, but I really checked out in the final arc of LaR, after the damned mushroom got eaten.

The God of War part put me off big time, all the drama haze just... vanished immediately :D

If they did film this, parts of it are bound to surface sometime, Maybe they really would make a special episode or something to appease the fans.

Or not. Them studio heads do be stupid at times.

Half this comment section would beg to differ about who loves TTJ best. There's a line, you know. LYX might about halfway in it :D

YQY's hair is black before it turns white because he's using all his fox power to protect the capital from the AIDW meteors.

TTJ destroys himself after placing the Heart-Protecting Scale on LSS and pushing her away. Most of the power is deflected, but she's thrown to the earth anyway. She ends up in the Jing tomb where now both memorial plaques are written - at first, it was only Ye XiWu's, but now TTJ's is written too.

He wrote it at the end of the night in Bo'Re Life, where, when LSS was still asleep, he told her he would do one last thing in this moment, that will be cruel to her but has to be done. Then he goes to the tomb, writes the plaque for himself (after changing into his CJM outfit because he wanted to be his best self, not the Devil God), dreams of a fantasy YXW/LSS who never thought he was evil and always believed in him and loved him for himself (she's clearly not real), then goes back and takes LSS to the Devil Palace to get married.

That last thing, about him writing his memorial, is shown in flashback as it wasn't disclosed until after he died.

It's not that hard to follow, seriously.

I just finished the first episode, and TBH it's definitely not my cup of tea. I don't like much of the sets, there's nothing much of the story (but that's a norm for most, so I'm not holding it against them), there were way too many villains with no actual motivations to be evil, lots of noticeable green screen and so on and so forth. There's the smallest vibe of The Legends in it, too. I am not enticed to watch the second episode.

I've no idea what Youku heads are thinking, releasing this so close to TTEOTM, that just got done raising standards to impossible levels. Maybe they wanted it to take the heat for the ending of TTEOTM?

And the opening - with the drawn art and everything just serves to dig the point deeper.

I need something else. Maybe a novel, or a new drama - but not so soon, and not the same genre. Oh well, my Watching list is quite long already anyway...

I love her jewelry in that scene. I'm going to make myself a pair of those earrings. And maybe the green tubular ones too, those were amazing.

And I love the parallel even more - his mother gets Mysterious Bird (first time it comes in the drama) and they get the amazing new BGM. I really hope they release the complete BGM, and soon!

Just so you know, because obviously you NEED to suffer a bit more. It's clear from the costumes and jewelry and everything else that the Bo'Re Life scene was filmed at the same time as the happy snowball fight in the first part of the story.

So now you get to feel it all over again, You're welcome.

PS And also, just in case I've missed anyone... did you realize that the final part of ep 39, the both of them walking up the steps of the Devil Palace ready to wed is showing them in YiYue festive dress AND manner? They walk up with their hands aside just as TTJ's mother goes to her emperor husband. And I NEED that BGM.

ADG cursed him with an existence that was pure pain, for him and for everyone he came to care about. ADG decided his vessel would bring bad luck and a tragic ending to everything and everyone he touches. So the only way to get rid of the curse was to destroy himself with it.

He had to choose it, despite his simple wish for that Bo'Re Life. That was a master stroke in the drama. I am so glad I didn't watch 39 yesterday, it would have made me much more angry at the unfairness of it all, what with hoping for a whole day for that tiny bit of a HE still possible. At least the agony wasn't that long (for me).

Everyone who watched the eps separately has my sympathy.

Make them watch it too. They'll understand. And there's power in numbers LOL.

Chu WanNing is one of the MCs of Immortality, a drama based on the novel The Dumb Husky and his White Cat Shizun (it's a danmei novel, so the drama will definitely be heavily censored). Its nicknames are either 2ha or hyx.

LYX is playing CWN. Chen Feiyu (he played Ning Que in EverNight and Li Xun in Lighter and Princess, he's pretty good) plays the other MC, MoRan. The novel is just as dogblood as TTEOTM but it does have a HEA. It's already filmed, post-processing and waiting for an airing license. But it's made by Tencent and they can afford to wait or even shelve it if censors won't pass it due to the source material...

We're still hoping though. LYX as CWN would be magic.

She is Elizabeth waiting for Will when the tides reverse LOL. Will returns, so TTJ will return too. What else are analogies for? :D

She reached Nirvana, she became a goddess then after the destruction fell back to the earth. I don't think she remained a goddess but that's just my opinion, He felt he had to save her, so she was in actual danger, and she seems to have lost a lot of cultivation just to survive, even with the help of the Scale.

My eyes are swollen and I really need to hydrate, LOL, but I've had a bit of time to relax... What a journey this has been!

I'd love a few extra minutes, but I kind of like the ending. It's earned, despite the unfairness. And everything else remains (I have decided the Bo'Re simple life is what is happening in the end, and I am happy with that part.)

Now I only need the whole BGM (last two eps BGM is epic, and parts of it I didn't hear in what was released prior), maybe a good complete translation of the novel, just in case I feel like torturing myself again, another HAPPY drama, Immortality, my cats, peace on world and an end to war, and I'll be finally good and well with life.

I checked the timer a few times - come on, come on, come ON already, please please please!!!!!

Dammit. They won't. There has to be an extra? Doesn't it? There HAS TO.

They both knew what they wanted to say. But couldn't. No, she HAS to tell him.

So he HAS to get reborn.

At least that's what I hope, even if there's no extra to clear it up, even if there's nothing more than what's in the drama.

Life is short, but a dream lasts forever - Mysterious Bird verses in TTJ's Bo'Re Life. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit. And she tells him, I did hope you could have made it.

3. They got saved, NBY gets to take care of them. Or the crow will bite him.
4. 500 years after she left the tribe as a kid and never returned, I guess it doesn't matter anyway if she is still part of them. She's still in the Sects maybe, cultivating.
5. He used the fox power PR gave him and that's why his hair is whitening in the process. He spent most of the cultivation, if he was a real fox he'd have lost a few tails if not all.
6. I like bittersweet. I'd love an extra, even just with a glimmer of more hope, though!
