A few years back the c-ent had limits imposed on payment, LOL, because a few megastars were making bank and most of the budgets went to them. Some of them even tried to get past regulations after that, through some inventive book keeping, and got caught (even some of the big names, like Deng Lun).

So now there's a ceiling on wages, BUT if the drama/movie is sucessful... It usually means the cast is going to get more offers and shows visits and endorsements, and there's a lot of money in those.

He looked way past any border in denial to me, as if he was forcing himself to live through a fever dream.

She wants to get married? Yes, let's get married. She wanted to poison me but now wants to forget all and just start over? Yes, let's start over. She promises to love me and be my faithful wife? Sure, why not!

That's so deep in self-deception it's not even funny any more.

And she is, too.

I don't think it's misunderstanding / miscommunication any more. She WANTS to have a good reason to kill him after she removes the bone (that she now thinks has failed), so she CONVINCES herself repeatedly he cannot be a good person no matter how many times he's showing her he isn't all that bad.

If novel TTJ was an evil bastard, I'm okay with the drama having him be a good guy destined to turn evil, UNLESS...

Though they'd better make a credible try at changing their destiny.

Yeah, 'cause he was always punished for ditching, himself, LOL. I mean, everybody would be a bit annoyed with the double standards :D

I think both mom and dad are either shipping them, or becoming convinced they're about to be together, LOL. And in the meantime, the dead-eye stare returned :D

She doesn't want to listen to anything they're saying, either. Not by fault of them not trying.

I also like how the villains ALWAYS get this need to confess before being caught, LOL. If she had just passed on a pill or something, she'd have been done and free before YQY and the fox even got there, LOL.

PS The "you killed grandma" COULD be interpreted as "you caused gradma to be killed" so it wasn't immediately apparent what he was yelling at her. But she refused even to investigate, went full T1000 on TTJ and everything else was left aside.

He's the leader of the Moonshadow Guards. TTJ could suspect he only likes him because he is supposed to like him. After all, NBY (whom I absolutely love) IS kind of simple-minded.

In the drama, the HPS was a family heirloom, if I remember correctly, that XL gives YBC on their wedding day and she indeed keeps it for very long. I don't think they've shown how it got back to XL. Maybe she left it behind in the Sheng King's Palace because she could care less about whatever gifts XL had given her.

Yup, I like how they used it to smooth some things over. I mean, it also causes some remorse for TTJ for the stabbing, anyway.

But after, for a number of days, enraged members of the Ye family kept coming at her to accuse her of poisoning her grandma and she was playing la-la-la-I-can't-hear-you with them :(

She WANTS to have TTJ always be the evil one.

I mean, they did go through the Dream Arc, so they kind of suspect some kind of Gods exist? :D

Myself, I liked that part. First, because it gave XL a chance to send the Heart-Protecting Scale to TTJ and save him for a while AND second, because it could be interpreted that he EXPECTED everything was maneuvered by SOMEONE and he (XL) had his suspicions on who that one might be. I mean, the HPS is his wedding gift to YBC, ain't it?...

And also, it keeps XL's goody-two-shoes chara intact and compensates a bit for being way too political in his original actions around little TTJ (when they were both kids), one of the many betrayals TTJ endured but a deeper one, 'cause he had planned his whole personality on copying XL until he discovered it was also kind of a scheme.

She got the original message that her grandma had died AFTER TTJ visited the family (because whoever informed XL got the timeline mixed up and he passed it on as it was). I'll bet she didn't realize the grandma was poisoned, probably assumed TTJ had her killed in revenge for her (YXW's) perceived betrayal.

Because that's what she does - always jumps to the conclusion he MUST be evil. In her defense - this time - she has just knifed XL and is watching him die, so she couldn't probably be too bothered with logic and whyfores.

He starts seeing, talking to, and releasing spirits of all kinds.

Two on Sun, one each day from Mon-Thur. Yes, another schedule change.

He let her wed him and wanted to pretend she didn't just try to poison him. She just decided she'd go for it and... did so.

They're both mad, mad I tell you.

That YBC viper... I guess she'll get hers. IF someone actually spills the beans on her. Going by the usual track record, they'll still not give her away and it will somehow end up being either TTJ or YXW's fault :(

Edit PS though mad props to XL for GIVING the Heart-Protection Scale to TTJ. The man knew something was up.

... But then, GuangYan's childish joy at the amusement park made up a bit for the rest of the pain. Aww, he wanted a sticker too :D
