I'm going to bet the ONLY thing that's going to seem the most important to LSS is that the Devil God had Tantai Jin's face. Therefore she'll decide he needs to die (once the bone is out).

TTJ has the Devil Bone that the original Devil God managed to put into him - someone said the ODG asked for a favour from the YiYue tribe (TTJ's mother's tribe) to get him a child as a sacrifice in order for him to be reborn, so I guess TTJ is it. TTJ died 500 years back and that triggers the Devil Bone into resurrecting the ODG.

So in the present, Li SuSu is sent back to then in order to STOP TTJ from dying before the Devil Bone is destroyed. That's the main timeline and plot.

But then they're all caught in the dragon's dream and re-enact THAT epic war from ten thousand years back when the ODG was actually defeated and robbed of his Devil Bone. The ODG has TTJ's face because that's his face, and TTJ is his "vessel" to resurrect in.

So they're all three different characters (Ming Ye doesn't necessarily look like TTJ, it's just that since they're trapped in the dream, each one got relegated a chara to "play" so TTJ ended up as MY).

I mean, she's killing off whole clans for the sake of her own obsession, but SHE's a goddess so the stupid celestial soldiers obey her. That's sane /not.

The fight with the Devil God was amazing - I can't help but think of the budget, LOL. I can see so many money signs on the screen with all those absolutely great special effects :D (Also, Ming Ye's god figure/spiritual form is so beautiful!)

The rescue-and-healing phase was cute, NGL. I was pretty certain he'd regain his sight before she realized, but then Tian Huan had to come wreck everything... and he went all the way to taking out his heart-shield scale. I bet that's where Sang Jiu manages to hit him with her bow and arrow because that's how it usually goes.

I am pretty ready to go back to demonic suffering Tantai Jin though, can we get there sooner please?

I would, if it didn't sound so fake. Every time there's a risky sex scene ANYWHERE in all kinds of dramas, there's this chorus of "oh noes it's rape!" as if anyone actually cared (which I very much doubt many of them actually do or even understand the context).

But it's okay for mental torture, physical torture, child deaths, maiming, prostitution, war, cannon-fodder random deaths and so on and so forth, to occur on screen, and the drama is still the best there ever was. The second there's no-consensual sex, then the chamber starts echoing.

We're not all Puritans and prudes, and also not liking echo chambers doesn't make anyone a non-emphatic a**hole.

I've said what I've had to say, I'll stop here. Fighting echo chambers is useless.

Lady, real life is real life, fiction is fiction. Learn the difference.

Let's have less of the holier-than-thou attitudes instead, and start admitting things like these happen a lot in real life, and having them happen in fiction is not the end of the world. Nobody's advising for anyone to do the same in real life, or condoning what the FICTIONAL CHARACTER did, FGS.

If you're coming from a place of hurt yourself, then you have all our sympathies and well-wishing. But don't come pontificating for the sake of internet clout. It's became stale already.

I haven't read the novel yet, the SL TL isn't done and the MTL is atrocious, so I don't know about any nails (yet). But the story moves pretty well so far, for me.

The constant 24x7 news cycle does more harm than any drama or fictional character's actions ever will, in terms of inspiring copy-cats and suggestions given to unstable people. Nobody's clamouring for censorship of the news though - because it's reality. The fact we're clamouring to censor each and every fictional plot is pretending to care where it doesn't have any impact - unless we LET it.

Anyone who can't tell fiction from reality (or pretends that fiction and reality are the same) has no business imposing pretend revulsion to anything not culturally acceptable on people who CAN separe the two.

The actual POINT of fiction is to show the difference between good and evil and give us an escape from the cruelty of life. Yelling "NO!" each time anything unsavoury happens in fiction is pretending to be more Catholic than the Pope and IMHO is used too much for creating Internet echo chambers.

Yes, no-consent, violence, doing anything evil, etc, is BAD and everybody (hopefully) agrees on it. But it's also FICTION in this case, and not presented as desirable behaviour. So let's move on.

If the dream, tear and thread won't help destroy the Devil Bone, what use are they and why did Ji Ze mention them to XiWu?! Is this dream they're caught in supposed to maybe softly suggest to them what might happen to their current/actual selves?...

The Devil Judge (kdrama), Ashes of Love (cdrama, LYX is playing the not-so-squeaky-clean character), Lighter&Princess (cdrama, but modern), Nirvana in Fire (cdrama, historical, everybody's wearing masks), The Blue Whisper (cdrama, gets kind of draggy in the second season, but the FL is a torturer by trade), The Legends (Bai Lu is a FL there, both lead charas are not... simple), maybe Mouse (kdrama, though it's definitely not my cup of tea.)

Ming Ye is the dragon, and the clam under his claw is Sang Jiu. Ji Ze is the God of Time.

Ming Ye is called repeatedly a "flood dragon", so you know the dragon cultivated and eventually became a God, Xianxia lore has it that fairies and all kinds of animals and plants and even humans can cultivate into immortality and some can ascend to godhood. So Ming Ye cultivated until he first could be deified and replaced the former War God (Tian Huan's father) when he died.

Err, it's a staple wuxia/xianxia thing. Lovers do dual-cultivation all the time. Actually, anyone doing dual-cultivation with another is assumed to be their lover/SO.

That's why SJ's brother was so shocked to hear her speaking so plainly about asking MY for it - and then, later, she did go THERE too LOL.

He is pretty much capable of empathy - he couldn't copy Xiao Lin's actions if he couldn't recognize the feelings and emotions. It's just that he's been treated as a burden and unloved for his whole life, and every time he thought someone would care for him, he'd open up to them (and get hurt in return usually). YXW didn't show him a lot of care, and had previously shown him a LOT of hatred and tortured him as well, and he still was all ready to let himself die for her just because she appeared to care for him a bit.

He's basically been abused (emotionally and physically) his whole life as TTJ, not showing emotions or allowing himself to feel them is almost expected behaviour.

Then again, I guess we'll learn he was always able to feel things, just wouldn't let them affect him in order to survive.

I LOVE the TSL OST, but haven't watched the drama yet, LOL. The MLs just aren't my type, I guess, so I can't invest in their stories all that much...

I watched AoL for LYX, LOL. Actually, I already mentioned this in the first eps, where he's the tortured TTJ-to-become-Devil-God, his hair is styled the exact same way it was for that amazing scene in AoL when he's provoked into letting all hell break loose - that's my favourite scene in that drama. All (blood-stained) emotionally blank face, hair loose and floating around his face, lost eyes and getting ready to destroy the world.

Yup, LYX is a favourite and one of the best xianxia drama actors :) (He does modern just as well, but he has this grace that costume dramas bring out amazingly well).
