It wasn't edited to be condensed. Each episode has about 55 mins of content (not including op and ed). Every other drama is about 45 mins op and ed included. So like an extra 10-15 mins per episode than the regular drama, at least 400 to 600 mins more than you'd expect with such a length.

Other than splitting it into seasons, this would be the other option to keep the content and release it continuously, to pass the new length rules.

Nah, supposedly once MingLang was dead, there was no other Tantai prince, so they had to have him or no king. And the Sheng Empire was already at the borders. And even so the nobles threw a tantrum. There was no time skip.

He and YXW didn't have a chance to talk about the Jade because she was already gone. And he didn't know what the Jade could do, anyway, she didn't talk about it much. Maybe he's okay with the idea of a short life and a brutal death anyway, so he doesn't care. He doesn't know she took it from him, either.

Maybe it'll come in discussion once he discovers love and wants to live for her (presumably.)

Okay, so I already know what YXW has against TTJ, but what ever did the poor tiger do to get fed YXW's food?!

I saw the BTS on that scene, LOL, he kept breaking out of the role because LYX was looking at him so directly and shocked, LOL, so Li JiaHao (Nian BaiYu) kept laughing. Eventually he tried moving his eyes from LYX (TTJ's) face and to BL (YXW) and managed to stay serious to get a pass on the scene :D

They were having fun filming it, no wonder they're all meshing so well :D

He also used the Wood-Alluring Jade and might think it did something to the poison so he didn't die. They still haven't had a good talk about WHERE she went afterward, and what she did until they met again at the dragon's river.

Also, there's a little box to tick that says "spoiler" in the left-side under the comment box, so if you check it, nobody sees the spoiler until they've clicked to open it.

What I appreciated best this ep was that HE IS TRYING. He's trying to be a good king, he's trying to get over severe education impairing. he's trying to play along with YXW's antics (I mean, he's eating the freaking food!! O.o)

He still has the Devil Bone and she's still trying to get her final weapons to kill him, and he doesn't deserve it - not yet anyway. And it's heartbreaking, because he never had anyone to trust before and he's starting to trust she actually, really-really, doesn't want him to die. So he's building on sand already and we're all aware.

Myself, I liked the sweetness, but it's more of a bittersweet series of moments since I keep realising LSS/YXW is NOT romancing him for real, she's just lying to him in order to get the SOUL-SLAYING NAILS (SOUL-slaying, that's gruesome... she doesn't want him to even retain a soul after he's gone :()

So yeah, bittersweet... :(

The way everybody watching ep 19 wants to let themselves go and enjoy the sweet moments... and yet each of us is already mentally preparing ourselves for what's to come... :(

I do NOT like how TTJ is so earnest in trying to be a good king, AND poisoning himself on YXW's dangerous food, and she only gets giddy when she can get a Soul-Slaying Nail growing... He's starting to love her for real, and she's still after his death...

This is going to be so heartbreaking :*(

After ep1, I'll give this a skip BUT if anyone knows what the song is that was playing in the background when Souta is eating his ramen in the nude, please share! It sounds a bit ethnic (maybe Hindi-based?) but it also sounds amazing and I'd love to hear more of it.

As I said... they ARE already friends. So he'd call her "sis" informally. I know between actors/directors/crew they're also using Laoshi as a term of respect and to mark age differences, particularly if they're new acquaintances but TBH, I've seen a lot of jiejie and ge's thrown around in BTS parts. Maybe it depends on the crew or if they've worked together before.

Geography and lack of time/opportunity bite, though. Otherwise I'd be spending all my free time in Hengdian and/or other scenic views I've seen in so many dramas...

They're both adults, and I should hope they both eventually find a SO, get married, maybe even have kids, etc. Even if they don't marry each other LOL (they do have great chemistry together, but that's just a bonus for any dramas they act in together). (I mean, China has 1.5 BILLION people, there should be plenty of fish in the sea around there, enough for everybody :D)

What, are they supposed to be a real-life cp? They were together in Love is Sweet too, they're friends.

I am interested in the drama's cp, not the actors' relationships, LOL. Though obviously I'd rather they should be friends and have a nice experience during filming instead of being awkward with each other (particularly if the drama involves some romantic scenes, too).

Also, Chinese people address each other as jie-jie/mei-mei (big sister/little sister) or ge-ge/di-di (big brother/little brother) all the time, and aunt/uncle, etc. (even if they don't know each other, LOL). It's a cultural thing.

The nightmare ep's sub made it look like his (homonym) name was Jin as in "cinder/ember", because his father burned the auspicious names list to a cinder. No idea how it was spelled though, since there are so many homonyms written differently in Chinese. But it sure did sound kind of poetic.

C-webnovels have certain words to describe a type or a setting so that you would expect them to behave a certain way.

Like "white moonlight" is the dream lover of everyone, the perfect irresistible angel, impossibly lovely etc. So "black moonlight" is the opposite, LOL.

As to why is he holding a BE script... well, The novel this drama is based on supposedly has two endings. I haven't read it yet since a fan TL isn't finished and the MTL doesn't make much sense, but I did read some half-spoilers and it looks like a BE might still be in the cards. We'll see.

In the future (original setting, when TTJ-as-Devil-God destroys the sects and everything else, there is no moon in the sky 'cause the sky is always covered.

So I guess - once TTJ is gone, the moon will be back?
