Why would he need to spend time with his tribe?! He doesn't know any of those people. They showed up out of nowhere (some of them having already betrayed him to his brother's trap) and don't deserve any recognition beyond a staple clan relationship, in which they stand to gain the most if TTJ becomes the ruler of the country.

As to why he's now the king - well, he's the only heir officially left (so far). And since the Sheng Empire immediately attacked, he's also the only one who can go to war and lead the armies against the aggressor. Even if the ministers STILL didn't want him as king, who else would have the authority to go defend the country?!

So postpone it until you have time, or just skip it. There's no "required to watch" drama anywhere in the universe.

For what it's worth, this one really does look like it's going to end up being a great xianxia drama, IMHO.

He's needed to move the plot along (in place of another prince of the Tantai Clan who would have been introduced in the story out of the blue). So... magic?... :D

That's what they want, though. A flame war, something to use in order to cast a shadow on everybody watching this drama. Something "other" drama's viewers wouldn't do, because they're "better".

I've seen provocations like these in other dramas comment sections, and the instigators are always playing the victims for no reason at all, twisting each and every word anyone tried to use in order to reason with them.

It's no use. Don't bother. It's not the kindergarten court here. Let them be the adults they imagine themselves to be, and let's all move on.

You - I like you. Yes, let's be entertained. Life's already boring, let's just enjoy whatever fun there is to be found :)

Don't bother, these two accounts are (again) trying to stir things up when everybody else is already moving on from the YTer's comments.

ESH, let's agree and leave it be. Inflammatory comments like these, pretending to be oh-so-high-above the rest of us mere mortals are the height of hypocrisy and just make this place less savoury.

They definitely combined the characters. Xiao Shun Yao (playing MingLan) is also rising, he was an important support chara in The Blue Whisper, so why not use him if he's already known? Adaptations always combine and switch some things to smooth out the plot anyway.

Immortality referrence LOL. Here's hoping that drama comes next :D

Most people forget their own dreams immediately upon waking. They are their own persons, and know it was all a dream... some feelings linger, but it's not their own feelings.

TTJ is not Ming Ye, there's no relationship (and MY's face is not the same as TTJ's. The Devil God has TTJ's face because TTJ will be the sacrifice / vessel for the DG to return.)

MY has no soul, he's a god, so when he's gone, he's gone forever, no reincarnation.

TTJ acted as MY in the dream, but it was a warning / prophecy (and it gave LSS two of the three needed items to deal with the Devil Bone). TTJ himself is not evil (YET) but he does have the Devil Bone and his body will be the Devil God after TTJ dies.

Now you know she can be biased (which is her own right) and maybe take everything with a grain of salt in the future, no matter who is presenting their opinion as unbiased constructive criticism. We are who we are.

Go on novelupdates and read the intro to the novel there. It's spoiled in the first paragraph, LOL.

And there's a MV of Sa Ji's Mystic Bird (the MV calls it Immortal / Mysterious Bird, it's the Xuan Niao) where the after the event scene is shown too.

I've no problem with valid criticisms and I won't lie, I don't care if they're the most professional criticisms either BUT I am not a critic and I love what I love.

But I've just replied to someone who was acting grossed out that the leads are too far apart in their ages, as he's way too old for her, while at the same time they (the commenter) had rated 10 at least three dramas with double the age differences between the leads. Don't tell me it's all unbiased, innocent opinions. They have the right to their own opinions obviously... but the hypocrisy is glaring at times.

You watched and rated a 10 both Crash Course in Romance (11 years age difference, FL older) and She and Her Perfect Husband (8 years age difference, FL is older), not to mention Empress Ki (11 years difference, also FL older).

LYX and BL age difference is 6 years, shorter than any of the above, and they fit their roles. What is the problem exactly, LOL? At least don't be so obvious in your biases :D

Saying things like "the drama sucks because LYX is too thin" (for example) is not calling out imperfections, it's nitpicking and no, I haven't seen many people calling it a masterpiece, just that it's very entertaining. We are all watching it to be entertained, so..,

Ming Ye: doesn't even recognize love until too late to save his lover, spends all his time to fight devils, dies alone, in pain, tormented for ten thousand years.

Fans: That's SO romantic! (though he's an idiot for doing it).

TTJ: That's SO stupid!! Better become the mightiest person around so that I get to do whatever I want AND protect anyone I might love, if it happens - oh, is that the Devil God? Okay then, he's my role model, bring it on.

Come to think of it, TTJ and his guard both can talk to animals, what stopped them from telling the geese off, LOL? Maybe they were feeling peckish anyway and just wanted a good reason to kill some birds! :D

I don't mind it, if what they say is true. But then, I don't go out of my way to entertain those criticisms for the sake of them "being right". I like what I like and don't mind it if other people like what they like. As long as we don't cross paths and nobody's imposing their opinions on anyone else, it's all cool with me.

Having a platform and an audience that was attracted by former level-headedness and using it to create changes in currents is what really makes me mad though. And from actual criticism that wasn't really hinting at negativity (putting down any shortcomings in a drama or movie as being the viewers' raw taste and lack of knowledge on the "proper" way to do those things, no matter if the drama is most worth watching anyway, for example), most YTers or influencers in general went to anything that creates buzz, clicks, more page visits etc - if they're in it for the money, then they don't need to pretend to be unbiased and level-headed any more.

I used to watch some of her clips, then I realised how biased she is and stopped doing it. I'll trust my own preferences and taste in dramas before anyone else's anyway, and I don't need negativity thrown in under the guise of "constructive criticism", when it's blatantly putting down someone's honest work and at times, it's just a matter of her taste vs. a lot of other people's she disagrees with (which is her right, but then it's also those people's right to ignore her opinion in turn). Some YTers forgot why they started their channels and now live for generating controversial clicks and I won't give it to them any more.

There, I've said it.

She's supposed to be grieving for the family and sect she's going to SAVE by killing TTJ after she removes the bone? It's not over yet, why would she grieve?!

If she's sucessful, then the Devil God won't come and nobody will die in the future, 500 years later. On the other hand, the one she's dealing with right now is NOT the Devil God but his human vessel who is not yet devilized. What should she act like?! She already tried torturing him and discovered she doesn't have the heart for it, and then she also learned how he was brought up, and so she doesn't really YET have a reason to deeply hate THIS human who isn't her enemy.

Seriously, a better drama is one that doesn't offer all answers or touches all the possibilities, but implies what they would be. Or what MIGHT have been...

I just hope the script remains on course til the end.
