End of ep 16 (DVD): What can you do when you get a sugar overload?!
Mini-special (by demand :D)
Wei WuXian (eating melon seeds in the gallery): I think love declarations are silly. Particularly in public. Lan WangJi (suffering stoically): Mn. Wen Ning (**does.not.compute.exe**): What do you mean, in public? Wei WuXian (very loudly): For example, like when Jin ZiXuan confessed to Shi Jie in public - hahahaha, did you see their faces? Jin ZiXuan (mumbling): As if you would recognize true love if it hit you over the head with a sword. (mouthing the words) Like Bichen. Jiang Cheng (sharing the melon seeds pack): Yeah, love should be understated. Like give her a gift or something to let her know you're interested. Jin Ling (mouthing the words) Preferably before she's dead. Just saying. Gu Wei: I bought her a fresh drink. It was DEFINITELY against my better judgement, since fizzy drinks are bad for your teeth and too much sugar before bed will not help a good night's sleep. But at the time I thought it was a cute gesture. Wei WuXian (generously): I'll give you a bottle of Emperor's Smile. You can share it with her. Gu Wei: Alcohol impairs judgement. Can't give that to a girl. In fact, nobody should over indulge. Wei WuXian: I just KNEW you don't know how to have fun. I mean, you don't even eat spicy food. Let me tell you, spicy food and alcohol are the best things in life, bar none. **Everybody - but Lan WangJi - shares an embarassed look. Lan WangJi doesn't change expression** Wei WuXian (suspicious): WHAT?! Gu Wei: Anyway, I also told her. On purpose. In public. And then I asked her out on a date. **Everybody but Wei WuXian furiously taking notes.** Wei WuXian: I still think a bottle of Emperor's Smile would do the trick. Right Lan Zhan? Lan WangJi: **uncorks the bottle** Everyday means everyday.
End of ep 16 (DVD): What can you do when you get a sugar overload?!
Also, Gao Xi needed that brutal rejection. I think she's strong enough to get over it and become Gu Wei's friend again, so I don't blame him for being so harsh on her. And it did sound a bit like they were trying to find a groove there, with the parents and the job and the habits etc. It's Gu Wei's good luck he found Lin ZhiXiao.
They're going to be stupidly in love for a bit, right? They're way too cute. Seriously getting hyperglycemic over here, LOL.
And two mini-theatres in a row, wow. "You'll always be 44 kilos in my heart" - LOL, Gu Wei, it's a trap. Never reply to that question :D
I FELT Gao Xi when she told LZX that she (LZX) is way too easy to distrust hard-working doctors in the hospital trying to help her dad (she meant Gu Wei) while she's so ready to trust outsiders. She (GX) seemed to reclaim her cool head for a while there. And she was totally right in what she said.
SanSan really is too immature to get involved in other people's relationships *sigh* and so is Gu Xiao. And they're way too reckless in their own relationship, going from being cats-and-dogs with each other to getting into bed together (while drunk too). Nice example there...
LOL @the mini-theatre.
LZX: and * was looking at you too and you were looking at her too! GW: Because I'm handsome. LZX: You think you're handsome? Have you looked in a mirror? Who would like you but me?
Myself in a corner raising a hand shyly: Err, if I could interrupt...!
is this drama being review bombed? So should I be watching the TV or DVD version?
DVD version is better - the eps are longer (the same content is in the TV version but a bit differently edited, and the episodes with the same number aren't the same, the TV is already behind the original version). The DVD versions include mini-theatres from time to time, and also all the OP and ED songs.
You'll recognize them easily - the DVD eps are 45-48 minutes long, the TV ver. eps are ~35 minutes long.
It's been so long since he's been in a drama I wanted to watch. He needs better luck in scripts. (And since I've already mentioned it, so does Ji Chang Wook).
if I don't work overtime, the patient will lose their life ; if I work overtime I'll lose my love.I just took…
I tried my best to enter your world, but I was still an outsider.
Yeah it did look like that to me, too (and on both sides, as a matter of fact). I hope they don't make it so that it becomes a repeating offense against the relationship...
Ep. 12 (DVD). When she's jealous, it's kind of cute (because he's that into her.) When he's feeling swept aside…
Also, MOM!!! WHAT THE HECK!!! Can't you see your son-in-law-to-be is eating up his liver right next to you?!
Question 1: Why does Gu Wei have two umbrellas? Question 2: How come he's soooo smooth to instantly decide he only needs one? LOL.
Boo on the whole school orchestra. She just had to rest her hand, she didn't die. What do you mean you already replaced her? Poor baby LZX, come here, I'll comfort you (and light up that rehearsal room.)
Does anyone else think Gao Xi is super creepy. WHY the heck are you recording Gu wei looking at your house?! not…
Playing devil's advocate here - she might be panicking. She had her whole life scheduled ahead: get a degree, become a doctor at this hospital, marry her childhood friend and schoolmate, eventually have kids, enjoy the leisures of life, happy ending. She might have seen it happen in her mind for so long, she never even thought that the course could alter so she doesn't have any backup for her successful life story.
So when Gu Wei is already changing that future she planned, she's left drifting. I don't think it's actual love on her side either - she's reading his mail, trying to make him move like he's a piece of chess, trying to drive away all interfering people etc. She's just possessive - or it might be that now he's actually moving away, she realizes she does like him and want him a lot more than what she thought before. But IMHO it's possessiveness.
i think this schedule might be messed up, episode 10 has just been released but the calendar is on ep 13
The calendar might be for the Hunan TV scheduled episodes. They're shorter and cover less than the DVD/original version. The TV eps are around 35 minutes each, and the DVD ones generally are around 46-48 minutes each (and include OP and ED songs and mini-theatres, when there are any). I'm not watching the TV version, but I have this impression they're already at least an episode (or more) behind the DVD eps with the same number.
That, ladies and gentlemen, was the never-empty bottle of room-temperature water. They exist. There's proof of…
Gu Xiao is under SanSan's command already LOL. He doesn't even know what hit him, yet.
Dr. Du is just the cutest. "Who are you and what have you done with Gu Wei?! Show yourself, alien person! Where is the doctor I came to know?"
LZX: Why oh why did you come to pick THIS appt here, right next door, why? (Say it's because you get to live next to the prettiest girl in China, do! **hearteyes**) Gu Wei: The rent is low.
LOL his expression.
Also, does Gu Wei's dad just sooo subtly looks like Gumpa from Not Me LOL? I was waiting for him to start training Gu Wei in parkour LOL.
BTW, Lin ZhiXiao didn't go to that mall to shop - she went to bring a wrecking ball to it and destroy everything in her path LOL.

AWWWWWWWWW **crowd goes wild**
That is all.

When she's jealous, it's kind of cute (because he's that into her.) When he's feeling swept aside it kind of hurts.
Good thing that the mini theatre exists to wash away some of the pain.
So when Gu Wei is already changing that future she planned, she's left drifting.
